The Longmen Gate is a gate-like gate with two mountains on the east and west sides of the river. It is shaped like a gate and is surrounded by cliffs. Legend has it that in March, a carp swam upstream and jumped onto the gate, transforming into a dragon. Therefore, the gate was named "Longmen". Since Longmen Gate was dug by Dayu to control floods, people called it "Yumen Gate" to commemorate Dayu's merits. Because it is located at an important transportation ferry between Qin and Jin, it is also called "Yumenkou" and the ancient town is called Longmen Ancient Town.
