Connecticut State Capitol

The Connecticut State Capitol is located in Hartford, the capital of eastern Connecticut. The building is home to the Connecticut Senate, House of Representatives and the Governor's Office. It was built in 1871 and completed in 1878.

The building is the seat of the state Senate, House of Representatives, and the governor's office. Connecticut is small, but it is one of the 13 earliest states in the United States and the highest per capita income in the United States. The historic and rich statehouse will naturally have many statues, the current statehouse was built in 1878 and has six pairs of 12 statues on the outer bottom of the dome representing agriculture, commerce, education/law, strength/war, science/justice and music.
