Saint Alekseyev Church

Saint Alexeyev Church is a famous church, located in Shijia Street, Nangang District, the traffic is very convenient and the scenery is pleasant. The exterior of the church looks very colored, the color is very bright, so that people can see the grandeur of the building in the distance. The main color of the building is in red and white tones, which is very shocking in comparison, and the overall look very coordinated.

The church of St. Alexeyev, known as the Red Square in Harbin, is named after the main building of the church in red, and the light at night is even more spectacular. The small square in front of the church is a leisure place for residents every night.

St. Alexeyev Church is located on Shijia Street, Nangang District, Harbin City. It is an Orthodox church with a construction area of 1005 square meters. It was built in 1931 and is a typical Russian-style building. It was converted into a Catholic church in 1980 after restoration. It is now the seat of the Catholic Episcopal Congress of Heilongjiang Province, the Catholic Episcopal Congress of Harbin City and the Catholic Academic Council of Heilongjiang Province. St. Alexeyev Church is the cultural relics protection unit of Heilongjiang Province.

Saint Aleksheyev Church Saint Aleksheyev Church (Historical Architecture) is located at 47 Taxi Street, Nangang District, Harbin City, and was once one of the activities centers of Harbin Orthodox Church. It was built in 1912 and was originally a wooden church. It was rebuilt as a masonry Church in 1931 and completed in 1935. Designed by Russian architect Smirnov Torre Vtanovsky, it is a classic work of Russian Baroque church architecture. After its restoration in 1980, it was converted to a Catholic church. Now it is the seat of Heilongjiang Catholic Patriotic Congress, Harbin Catholic Patriotic Congress and Heilongjiang Catholic Church Council.

Come out of Gogoli Bookstore and walk for about 15 minutes. At the intersection of Renovation Street, you will see the red St. Alekseyev Church. The church has no religious activities and can not be visited. The square is also very quiet. I am the only visitor. There are only a few elderly people in the local area.
