Wenfeng Tower

Conghua Wenfeng Pagoda is located near Jiekou Town, Conghua District, Guangzhou, at the foot of Zhiling where Longtan River, Xiaohai River and Liuxi River meet, 2 kilometers away from the urban area. As a symbol of the local "style of writing", it was built in the 47th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty, and was later destroyed by fire. It was rebuilt in the 32nd year of Emperor Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty (1693), and it was built with seven floors and listed as one of the six new scenic spots in Conghua, called "Zhiling Pagoda Shadow". Later, due to disrepair for a long time, the ancient pagoda has been destroyed. In 1993, the nine-story tower was rebuilt on the original site. The tower is nine stories high, and each layer is covered with glazed tiles. Masonry structure, the bottom is made of strips of stone, the rest is brick, and the top of the tower is a hexagonal cucurbit. The tower body is hexagonal, and the layers are closed. Wenfeng Pagoda was originally called "Water Green Mountain Qingwen Pavilion", commonly known as "Wenchang Pavilion". You can climb the tower and watch the scenery from the top of the tower.
