Above average trail in the city (IMPORTANT - West parking lot only)

As a family (kids 12/10/8) we have done almost all of the nature areas in Dallas (Arbor Hills and Cedar Ridge Preserve being the two best in my opinion) and we had not heard of this one until recently...

Preface: NOT A BIKER

For me, though the preserve is a true nature spot, it is full of bikers - really no room for walkers like myself.

Good place to walk the dogs

About the best you can hope for in Garland. The trails are fairly short but great for taking the dogs for a walk.

Active interaction

This site should appeal to people of all ages. The trail is well maintained and the staff is very helpful. I understand that it closes at 12 AM in the summer.
