Kuizhou Ancient City

＂ Zhangzhou Ancient City ＂; located in the throat of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, according to the mouth of the Qiantang Gorge, the strategic position is very important, and it has always been a must-win place for soldiers. In the Spring and Autumn Period, Ba and Chu, Qin and Chu in the Warring States Period, Han and Dong Wu in the Three Kingdoms Period, and the reunification of Ming and Qing Dynasties, Zhangzhou was at the forefront of the war. Zhangzhou is a famous city with a long history and culture. As early as the Neolithic period, there were human labor and livelihood. The western Zhou Dynasty was the capital of Yufu, and the Qin and Han Dynasty was changed to Yufu County. The two years of Zhangwu in Yuhan (222 years), Liu Beibing fell to Dongwu, was defeated, retreated to the fish, and changed Yufu County to Yong'an County. Tang Zhenguan 23 years (649), changed to Fengjie County, affiliated to the government of Zhangzhou, and has been used to this day. The ancient city wall of Zhangzhou was built in the Mingchenghua decade (1474). Because of the storage of water in the Three Gorges Reservoir area, the whole ancient city was submerged and many historical relics were flooded. Baidi City became an island in the river. In order to protect important cultural relics, the relocation was carried out and completed in 2005.

The city wall was originally built during the Ming Chenghua years, and was destroyed in the floods and rebuilt during the same period. Yaokuita is also known as the Wangjiang White Tower, built in Jiaqing years. The ancient city, the white tower and the natural scenery of the Three Gorges are perfectly matched, and there are also rumors that Liu Beituo's place - Yong'an Palace and the newly built Zhangzhou Museum.

The ancient city of Zhangzhou is not large in size. Except for a few buildings such as Yaokuita, everything else is rebuilt from the mountain because of the reservoir. It is basically free. It is still very good to take a walk after visiting the scenic spots. The night view is good and it is more suitable for self-service tours.

The ancient city of Zhangzhou is located in Baidi Town, you can overlook the famous monument Yao Kuita. There is a rampant city building on the right side of Yao Kuita. The word "Yidoumen" can be vaguely seen on the city gate. This city gate was rebuilt from 2002 to 2004. The original city gate is located in the ancient city of Zhangzhou, Xi'an. Due to the storage of water in the Three Gorges Reservoir, up to 1.1 10,000 cubic meters of Chengmen Stone "original scale, original shape, original process" was rebuilt in today's location.
