Archaeological Park of Herculaneum

this is a place that really feels like going back in time. go to Pompeii first as it sets the scene but the preservation here and the items they have discovered are amazing. if you love history it is a must see.

The ancient city of Herculaneum is 8 kilometers southeast of Naples, Italy. In 79 AD, the eruption of Vesuvius, Herculaneum and the ancient city of Pompeii, not far away, were flooded by ash. The ancient city was discovered in the early 18th century, and archaeological excavations have been carried out.
