You can still visit but cannot cross
Although the bridge is closed (hit by a semi in November 2023) to vehicles and pedestrians you can still walk up to it and take photos. Hopefully IDOT will repair it and it will reopen soon.
Great place to visit. Good photo op Loved the Red Covered Bridge. Also close by is the Captain Swift Covered Bridge. Although it isn't historical it's still worth seeing
Nice Historic covered bridge. Has recently been repaired and is lovely. It's a good peaceful place to have a picnic or take pictures. We usually go for homecoming and prom pics of our kids and friends...
Very charming town. After we stopped at Mrytles pies we followed the signs to get to the bridge. Parking lot. Very nice piece of history. Lovely area and beautiful drive.
Very nice old covered bridge in a gorgeous setting complete with a little park and picnic area. Creek running by the park not far from town, with the stop.
