虎门公园建设近4年，基本投资了3000 多万元，林荫道、山道、人工湖、凉亭等主要建筑已经完成，足球场已经投入使用。除完成上述公园功能外，体育功能的建设尚在规划当中，其中足球场的观众席和综合体育馆两个大型项目建设预计需耗资6000多万元。从城建办获悉的消息说对于整个虎门公园的全部建设，政府方面的估算和预计是1亿元人民币。
