Chaoyang Miaozigou Ski Resort was built in 2012. It is a tourist project for skiing in winter and grass skiing in summer. There are beginner and intermediate ski slopes of nearly 1,000 meters, and there are single-board and double-board skiing. The ski resort is located in the center of Yanshan Lake Tourist Area in Longcheng New District, Chaoyang City, covering an area of ​​80 mu. It faces the beautiful and open waters of Yanshan Lake in front and is backed by the green mountains of Daban Village, Dapingfang Town, Longcheng District. In the winter of 2012, private entrepreneur Yi Haisheng invested more than 20 million yuan to introduce internationally advanced snowmaking and snow-pressing equipment and new supporting service facilities, and built two professional and amateur ski slopes. The first phase of the ski resort with a total length of more than 300 meters began operation on December 20 of that year, attracting ski enthusiasts from all over the world to visit and play. The completion of Miaozigou Ski Resort not only fills the gap of no ski resorts in western Liaoning, but also optimizes the cultural industry structure of Chaoyang City, changes the current situation of Chaoyang without tourism projects in winter, and provides a good place for winter skiing for people who love outdoor activities, effectively extending the economic development chain of the local tourism industry.

This autumn, Yi Haisheng invested heavily again to expand the intermediate ski trails, snow ring trails and expansion training hall, making the skiing project more complete and more functional. According to reports, the ski resort is 25 kilometers away from the city, with convenient transportation and beautiful natural scenery along the way. It has formed a tourism economic circle with the surrounding tourist resources such as Yulugou Villa and Yanshan Lake Scenic Area.
