Yesterday 9/19/2023Things to know.Before you book. The half day trip leaving at 9am left at 9:30am No explanation given. You were not allowed on the boat until 9am Just standing in line until then. So the first to fishing is negated.While boarding you are told NO fishing in the bow and stern A first anywhere.On the way out came a lot of things you could not due. The captain used his microphone a lot. From no personal bags in the cabin to expected gratuities.Join the pool another $10 per person. About 25 joined, who won it you will never know. When asked nobody knew. When asked on the way in if a nice fish caught was in the pool, the mate said “that’s a great question”. It was a good question since almost every fish caught was under 10inches.Finally, on the way in the captain, on “his” mike announced not only how good he was but the mates would come around and personally thank each person and you were Expected to give them a tip as you would in a restaurant. That would be 20% of the amount you paid for the trip.In 30 plus years of fishing I have never been told what you were expected to tip.Know this before you book, you have other fishing options.
