Beautiful Khao Yai 😍✨
Just a three hour drive from Bangkok, you’ll reach the picturesque town of Khao Yai. We booked one of the most famous hotels in Khao Yai which is Thames Valley. The moment we arrived, we thought were transported to an English country side.
Thames Valley is beyond beautiful with the vines, cobblestone and perfectly manicured gardens. The hotel rooms are spacious and come with a lovely balcony (see images). The hotels restaurants and spa are amazing as well!
As a day activity, we visited PB Valley Khao Yai for wine tasting where we taken around the property and cellar and briefed about the place. We informed that this is first winery in all of Thailand! The tour is conducted 4 times a day (9:30 am, 11:00 am, 1:30 pm, 3:00 pm). After the tour, we had lunch at their restaurant.
Next, we went to Palio which is dubbed as mini Italy of Thailand. The entire place looks like you’re walking through the streets of Lake como or Cinque Terre. There are a ton of shops and restaurants to check out. Just make sure to visit during the day and not evening as most of the shops close pretty early.

Taking the train from Bangkok Hua Lamphong station then a rental car to the park was an unforgettable journey. The scenery along the way was beautiful, plenty of rice paddies and water buffalos. The train was comfortable too! At the park, we paid an entrance of 20THB for locals and drive around. We were really lucky to see deers and a spring on the way down the mountain. The guide told us sometimes wild elephants would cross these roads.
Haew Suwat Khao Yai Waterfall, adjacent to Haew Narok Waterfall. And it is also the most famous waterfall of Khao Yai National Park. During the rainy season, there will be a lot of water. But the specialty of this waterfall is in summer. Because when the water ebbs, it will see a small cave or caves. behind the waterfall Which can walk up the mountain to explore this small cave, the area around the waterfall is covered with various trees. covering the sunlight, making the atmosphere inside only cool, shady and comfortable.
