Built between 1376 and 1420, Bruges City Hall is one of the oldest in the Lowland Country. It inspired architects of Brussels, Ghent, Leuven and Odenard City Hall and influenced the city's Gothic municipal buildings. Even today, it is the city's beating political center. Bruges City Council still holds its monthly meeting in the Gothic Hall.
