Belfort Castle

Belfort Castle is also a famous landmark. Belfort has been a battleground for soldiers since ancient times, and the city's residents built castles to resist aggression and were besieged by Prussian forces for 104 days without breaking it, leaving Belfort not integrated into the German Empire after the Franco-Prussian War. The statue of the lion in front of the castle is to commemorate this feat. On the castle, you can overlook the city of Belfort. There is a small square next to the castle, which just happens to meet the ring of Fasse, and the square serves as a resting point.
