But the crab fried rice is so-so 2️⃣Mae Varee: Also available for takeaway, the tri-color mango sticky rice is delicious, but it can get a bit cloying if you eat too much 3️⃣Chuan Fu: If you don't want to queue for Michelin mama noodles at Chulalongkorn, you can come here. Just walk a few dozen meters to the right of Milk Boy, it seems that many students come here to eat. If you just want to tour and take photos by yourself, you can buy tickets online or on-site for 500🐖 per person. If you're interested in history and want a guided explanation, I recommend two options. There are many Chinese-speaking guides at the entrance of the Grand Palace, charging 600 Thai baht per hour, providing one-on-one explanation services. If you want to save time and effort, I recommend purchasing the Grand Palace ticket + Chinese guide explanation on an online travel app, which is about 150 yuan per person, very convenient. 🌈Tour: Because I'm quite lazy and wanted to hear the explanation of the Grand Palace, I chose the online package without hesitation. After confirming the order, I checked in at the entrance of the Grand Palace at 10 am and entered with the guide. #bangkok At the heart of Bangkok, The Grand Palace has been the official residence of the kings of Siam. With jewel-encrusted shrines, golden temples & exquisite architecture, it represents 200 years of royal history. This is definitely the most crowded place ever in Bangkok! I arrived 15 mins before opening time and there was already a group of people waiting 🙈 Roughly after an hour, the entire place was flocked with visitors. It’s a beautiful & huge place with stunning architecture, but the massive crowd also makes it very overwhelming. 🕰️ - 8.30 am - 3.30pm 🎟️- The admission fee is the most expensive for foreigners: 500 baht. Everyone is gifted a small bottle of hand sanitizer at the entrance. You also get a ticket for a traditional Thai dance show, but it can be a bummer as it starts at 2pm. I didn’t attend as I visited early and didn’t want to spend the whole day there. 👚- Dress code is very strict! Shoulders & knees covered. No transparent or skintight clothing, else you’ll be sent to a shop across the entrance selling those typical Thai style loose pants & T-shirts with prices starting from 100 baht. 🧍🏽‍♀️- You can also join a day tour or hire a tour guide near the entrance. They’re usually standing nearby with boards of their spoken languages. 👉🏼 Don’t shop or buy anything near the Grand Palace. I paid twice the normal price for coconut water and two small packets of chopped fruits 😭 Walk a bit further towards Wat Pho. There are lots of restaurants, cafés, street food sellers & shops with much cheaper prices. ➡️ How to go? I was staying near Wat Pho & The Grand Palace was a 15 -20 min walk for me.
