The house was built in 1863 by Allan Kerr Taylor, whose wife Sophia was a progressive woman who supported women's independence and the right to vote. Sophia is also a singer, gardener and mother of 10 children. AlbertonHouse is all wooden structure. The house consists of 18 rooms. Due to the influence of the Indian culture at that time, the corridor and other interior designs all reflect the unique regional style. The appearance of the whole building is full of fairy tale style, which makes every girl who arrives excited. The small swan fountain in the garden, the white stairs with small flower beds on both sides, the delicately hollowed-out colonnades and balconies, in an instant, seemed to be in another time and space. The Alberton Club was very famous in the late 19th century, where the wealthy held balls, garden parties, and small concerts. There are many utensils and equipment used at that time on display in the house, and several rooms are still well preserved with the wallpaper used for interior decoration at that time. In this house you can get a feel for the social life of the early settlers.
