Lakes District Museum & Gallery

The museum is a local cultural history explanation center. In addition to the history of the Maori people, it spent a lot of pen and ink to tell the local gold rush scene, and the bitter life of Chinese workers!

I came to the drizzling gold rush town and witnessed an education in the history of Chinese gold rushing. I wanted to come to join in the fun and buy a little bit of gold grain, but unfortunately let the ancestors finish it! Today, because of the rain, the scenery almost felt.

From Queenstown, it takes less than an hour to drive to arrowtown. Follow the road sign to park the car, not far to see this street, see this museum. Just opposite the post office, it is very easy to find. Some of the museum is free to open, some of the charges are actually similar. Most people come out after watching the free. The museum displays many of the living utensils brought by early Chinese immigrants.

The Lake District Museum presents visitors with the hard pioneering years and exciting gold rush times, and is known as one of New Zealand's most distinctive small museums.
