Anew Hotel Hluhluwe

Anew Hotel has the best staff, amazing pool, wonderful landscape, and location. They are close to KFC, steers, fishaways- however the hotel itself makes the most delicious food and desserts. Thami , Sbo and Giraad were always helpful and did their best to welcome us and make us comfortable. Our room- 100A ( separate from the main hotel, which was amazing as it had the view of the garden and our own parking and space), did noy have wifi coverage. We had to walk to the hotel itself for network. If you do not have data or an SA Sim card, this can be an issue. We did the following activities which were all in a 20 to 30 min close vicinity of the hotel. 1. Big 5 Safari at Hluhluwe Game Reserve 2. Emdoneni Wildcat cat Sanctuary 3. False Bay 4. Bayete Elephant Interaction This was the best time of our lives as we thoroughly enjoy wildlife and the outdoors. Thank you Anew Hotel. We will be back !!

Before I arrived in Durban, I was always told about how dangerous the place can be. I don’t felt anything dangerous during my time. The hotel property are guarded with spike on the floor to prevent car from force entry. Entry and exit of the property, the driver are required to produce identity both in and out. I guess this all actions made us feels safe. We have a driver whom drove of to a nearby 4-6 minutes Nandos to buy takeaway. So can’t comment on the safety of the trip. That’s a hourly rate car rental CLIQ which I believe you can prearrange to pick up on the hotel itself. Hotel does provide some tour packages. And if you need to leave your hotel early and unable to have breakfast, they can prepack for you and by far, it’s the most sumptuous packet breakfast I’ve ever received of the 80+ countries I’ve visited! Their service is good as well!

The resort has good facilities although there is no longer access to the nature reserve. The rooms are dated. Bath tubs seem to be from the 1990s. Furthermore, there are several rules and restriction’s about use of facilities, visitors and room allocation which are subject to management’s discretion. Some rules are enforced by smooth talking security guards who can ‘help you avoid a hefty fine’ for a small service fee. I understand the importance of rules in running a large resort however leaving their enforcement to the discretion of *****s is even more dangerous.

The hotel is super convenient, opposite the shopping mall, there is a very good steak at the door, and the home circuscircuscafe opens at 7 o'clock, the breakfast is very delicious. You can also book a 4-hour city tour at the front desk, which is also very good. High cost performance

An aesthetically beautiful and comfortable stay. If you’re looking for convenience and ease to enjoy the beautiful city of Durban, stay here. Except for the block-out curtains that wouldn’t close fully, you’re amazed at the beauty of the sea from sunrise to sunset! Definitely worth it!

I enjoyed my trip to Durban South Africa and staying at the nice hotel of Holiday Inn Express. Even though it was a little chilly the staff and housekeeping was very nice and understanding maintenance staff came right away to fix the heating in my room. Since I left before 6pm breakfast time they order me grab and go to enjoy my trip. Very rewarding and would stay again when I return in December

The hotel rooms are big and spacious. bathroom has an amazing shower and bathtub. the game drive was also an amazing experience to be up close and personal with the animals. no touching animals but Our guide Lonely, got us as close as he could. The braai area is off limits from 6pm but the manager allowed us to braai from later on as we only got back from the game drive at 6pm

Arrived at the place and did not get the room I booked they told me it was taken by other people. Our room had no mirror and no tv, the air-con was not working and it was cold. Checkout is very early 10:00 in the morning which wasn’t easy. Other than that I will give the place a 5:10 great for over night stay and leave in the morning.
