"Besides needing staff to cover busy times such as check in and out, the accomodations are excellent. Clean marble bathrooms with white towels. Beds white as snow and comfortable. First time seen house staff friendly and responsive to your needs. Downers Grove hotel have elevators to third floor. Breakfast was standard for first and menu posted for each morning and the eating area was clean and kept maintained by kitchen staff as people dined left tables..Noise free rooms. Individual temperature rooms controls. Wide hallways and have communication friendly rooms whatever these are. Again, communication to the front desk from room was cumbersome as long rings to answer from phones I'm rooms by front desk staff lady. Can perhaps use a two person a peak times or as a balance during the day for better response."

"Advantages: The lobby is simple and bright, the rooms are comfortable, clean and well organized, the restaurant is quite large, and the WIFI speed is fast. The lobby is equipped with coffee, ice water, and hot water, which is very considerate, great! Areas for improvement: 1. The breakfast is the same, with few varieties, especially for Chinese stomachs, I really don’t like it. 2. Even if I told the front desk that the room needs to be cleaned early (I hope it will be cleaned before noon and I will take a nap during lunch break, because I am very sleepy due to jet lag), the waiter is still slow and will not act until the afternoon."

ZzzangkoThe hotel's shuttle service for pickup from O'Hare Airport Zone 2E and drop-off at International Zone 5 was excellent. It was also great that we could enjoy the complimentary hotel breakfast and evening social hour. We made good use of the nearby Blue Line Rosemont CTA station with a 1-day Ventra Pass to explore Chicago in winter. I'd like to thank the front desk lady for her friendly assistance with check-in. The deposit was also refunded within two days. However, as we visited in early February, the room was very dry, so it would be advisable to bring a portable humidifier.

GGuest UserOverall experience was really good... location is PERFECT! The hotel is nice and the room was exactly what I needed. Two items that can (and should) be improved: 1) the front desk always seemed quite understaffed and guests had to wait around for their turn. 2) I was on a higher floor and the water pressure was bad (not even regular but bad) so I was really cold when showering and it took forever to wash my hair. This for me was quite uncomfortable cause I like a nice hot strong shower after walking +10 miles a day in cold weather. All in all, I'd stay there again but would ask for a room with better water pressure.

GGuest UserMy Honest Experience After Reading Negative Reviews I was initially quite hesitant to check into this hotel after reading a number of detailed and lengthy negative reviews, especially those highlighting hidden fees and cleanliness issues. However, upon arrival with my partner, I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was clean and well-decorated, with a modern and cohesive style. Our check-in process was fast and efficient, and the receptionist was friendly and happy to answer all of our questions—especially about the fees mentioned on the hotel’s website. One of the main issues people seem to bring up is the so-called “hidden” fees. In my experience, these fees are not actually hidden—they’re listed on the hotel’s official website. That said, they could definitely be communicated more clearly. It’s important to read the fine print when booking and during check-in. While the fees may not be obvious at first glance, the hotel is legally allowed to include them since they are technically disclosed. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with enough space to hang clothes. There were multiple hangers, and the locker-style closets matched the hotel’s sporty decor. The floor and bathroom were clean overall, though I did spot a spider in the corner of the shower—but nothing alarming. The downstairs common area includes an open kitchen with a communal fridge and even a crockpot, which was a nice surprise. There were also several games available, like ping pong and air hockey, which makes this place family- and couple-friendly. Guests are allowed to enjoy drinks provided in the kitchen. If you’re sensitive to noise, particularly trains, I recommend requesting a room farther down the hall on the first floor. Our room was in a quiet spot—I barely noticed the train, and when I did, it was more like soft white noise. Still, bringing earplugs might help if you’re a light sleeper. Overall, I recommend this hotel. It’s in a nice area, the decor is visually appealing, and the stay was enjoyable. Just be aware of a $120 refundable deposit (if no damage is done to the room) and an additional $50 guest fee. Knowing that ahead of time helps avoid surprises. I’m very grateful for the pleasant stay and would return again.

SsknoseyThe free breakfast is not a full buffet but a choice of egg and then usually fried potato and beefburger patty or slices of sausage. the rest was tiny yoghurt and bread for toast, or make your own waffles. there is tea coffee and hot chocolate. There was cereal and porridge but sometimes it is made so thin that its not worth eating. There is no tea in the room, just coffee. The machine had a disposable tray but they ran out so I used the same one for 9 days for tea and coffee (i got teabags from the breakfast room). Housekeeping never supplied what you asked for first time, or even second. If you want something and ask at 2pm, you will get it if you chase a couple of times afterwards by 9-10pm. There was also alot of messing about with respect to check out time. I am a member of the loyalty programme which is meant to give you an automatic late checkout. The manager gave it to me but then when I went back to ask about extending it further for a fee, it was clear the other guy behind the counter was on a power trip and the day before started saying I shouldnt have got it and as it was the manager, he wouldnt withdraw it but he could and I should only get an hour and be charged $25/hr after that etc. He was just a mean spiteful man who saw an opportunity to cause worry and distress and he did it. I had luggage to store and it was a late flight so I had to know whether to pack to store it to check out at midday, or 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 (they were messing me about with all times) but this is why I gave a 1 star for service. It is not at all professional but childish and spiteful. I had arranged the extended checkout days before and the day before they were messing me about when I had to pack and had a schedule of things to do? The worst service in any hotel I have ever been in. Hilton is no longer a 5 star experience it seems. 1 star for service.

GGuest UserThis hotel seemed a good value but we had a major issue. After several tries, even the staff could not get the key card to work. Another room was provided but unfortunately, we could not access medication, feminine hygiene products, toiletries, food/water. I deducted points from the service score as we were left without updates as to when maintenance would assist us. Trip customer service reported that nobody would answer the phone when they tried to assist us. It was not until I inquired that were were informed were would be locked out until the next morning. As a result, I had to go out and purchase necessities. Despite the cost and inconvenience all Trip.com offered was $5 in coins, which is unacceptable. The hotel said they would refund to our card but since we booked Trip the couldn't do anything. That said, the staff was courteous and professional, one staff member even loaned us a phone charge cable which was appreciated. The room itself was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and this was the best part of the stay. Breakfast: I don't recommend the breakfast. The offerings were very similar to other hotels but preparation seems to be the weak link. For example, the sausage appeared to have just thawed and was colder than room temp. The eggs were watery with brown chunks in them, perhaps from scorching the bottom. TLDR: Our needs were minimal and without our difficulties with the key cards and breakfast this would have been a good value. It's concerning that a hotel doesn't have a way to access a room in an emergency scenario.

GGuest UserI booked to stay for just one night between my flights. The airport shuttle was very reliable. I wish I had known that if I requested, they would pick me up at terminal 5, but I walked to terminal 2 without knowing this. Their shuttle service operates 24 hours, every 45 minutes. The hotel is within walking distance to a metro station, so I took a quick trip to downtown. I booked this hotel just for its location and I was not disappointed. One thing, the room is not soundproof. Air conditioner was very loud I ended up turning it off, but the noise from the planes were pretty big as well. I could hear what the couple next door was doing at night very clearly. If you’re traveling with kids, that’s really something you should keep in mind. Also, every time the people next door opened their doors, I could hear them so clearly to the point it sounded like they were opening mine. I feared for my life every time they went in and out of their room. Honestly, that goes away if you wear your earplugs, which I did not have at the time. If this wouldn’t bother you, you’d be more than fine staying here.

GGuest UserI had higher expectations from this place considering the price of the room. From pictures online before booking, it looked bigger. Room wasn't as spacious as thought it would. My biggest thing was how outdated a lot of the things looked inside. A mini boom box was there, super small fridge, tv with no option to Bluetooth or cast and the shower head was really gross and grimey including entry doorway to stand up shower. Looked like a $10 Walmart showerhead with little to no water pressure. Super Mini bottles are provided for showering so definitely take your own stuff overnight. Glad I got the standard room as it would be an indicator of me going back and getting a pool included one which is neat $600. The cabinets were dusty, buttons to lights had a broken one and were in a really odd spot right where you sleep and lay your head at. Best part honestly was the front desk service she was super nice and the jacuzzi was ok. Bed sheets were decent and bed was comfortable but felt like I was sinking in some spots probably needing replacement soon too. By the time I had checked into it was late and no use of asking for change but hindsight wish I would've.
