"This was an ok place. Very nice staff. But the room was iffy. The toilet was about 24inches high…..too low for seniors. Beds were pretty nice. The TV was the worst ever….virtually no channels at all. No sports, no networks, no nothing. I would not choose this again just on the TV."

"Location was perfect for us with quick access to Yale University and its nearby restaurants and shopping areas. Housekeeping services are minimum (just refills of amenities, exchange of towels, and garbage emptying) which fit us perfectly.
Only downside is no restaurant but considering the location it was no problem - plus there is a lobby shop for those “emergencies” when you don’t want to walk anywhere.
All staff were very kind and service minded."

"A very average hotel, relatively old, not very cost-effective at this price. Because my children were going to a competition, I booked this hotel. Parking is not free, 20/night. Broadband is free. The biggest problem is that the sound insulation is very, very poor. There were quite a lot of people checking in that day, and the corridor manager said it was causing trouble. The boy in the next room seemed to be drunk and was beating the wall. The wall turned out to be an ordinary wooden structure, and the noise was very loud, seriously affecting rest. The hotel does not have disposable slippers. I will definitely not make a reservation next time I go there."

"First of all, the location of the hotel is very good. There are many restaurant options in the few blocks before and after the main road at the entrance. It is also very close to walk to various parts of the university. Secondly, although the hotel lobby is not big, it has many comfortable sofas and the decoration is quite warm. When I went there, it happened to be during the Model United Nations competition. Players from all over the world were having lively discussions there. There was also a thoughtful computer in the lobby. Computers, I see people using them often, are indeed needed sometimes. Although the room is not big, it is not cramped either. I booked a double bed room and the bed is quite comfortable. I wonder if the reason why I don’t feel jet lag is because of the bed😏 There is a long desk in the room, which is convenient for me I deal with some work matters every night. There is a heating cabinet next to the sofa. It looks unprepossessing, but it is very practical. On this snowy day, I will wring out the small items that need to be washed and put them on it to dry, and then put them on it the next day. Once it’s dry, dry it before changing clothes. It’ll still be warm when you put it on😄 It’s like I’ve unlocked a new function. The service is just right. They don't bother me or are overly enthusiastic. However, they can help me in time when needed. They also clean the room and change towels regularly every day (I have seen some comments before that it is not provided every day after staying in a foreign hotel). of these services)"

"The hotel is quiet and clean. The big bed slept very well. The front desk clerk is warm and welcoming. The hotel shuttle driver is also great! The only regret is that the waiter in the hotel restaurant is very discriminating against the Chinese who do not understand English. On the first day, I ordered two breakfasts. The whole dish was actually fried black-boiled potatoes and bacon. I want to give my opinion, but I can’t say it. I hate that I have not learned a foreign language well. The next day, I changed my English-speaking daughter and dad to have breakfast. The same breakfast was served, but the normal food status was up. I still remember the dark two breakfasts, but my heart is still very wrong."

"This hotel is located across from Walmart, which is a plus and shares a driveway with a gas station. The rooms are comfortable for 2 ppl. Our room was overall clean but there was hair on our towels. 🥲 It was late & we just used our own washcloths & towels we usually bring with us. Breakfast was pretty nice with the different available options. Just hope housekeeping would ensure things like hair on towels & bed sheet (found in morning) & it didn’t match our hair type or color. 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️"

GGuest UserMy mate and I stayed here for three days because of a conference at CCSU. It was the closest hotel to the university (＜15min walk), so I would rate that as a 5/5 (all other hotels were like 40 minutes by bus). The room should not be expected to be super clean. The mattress, kitchen, tables, etc., were clean, but there were stains on the walls. There are no kitchenware, cups, or anything, so you'll have to bring your own or purchase at a grocery store. Also, they only provide 1 really small shampoo bottle (not even a bottle, it's actually a lipstick size) for the entire stay so bring your own or buy at a grocery store. Laundry and Dryer costs $3.25 each load.
We forgot about our laundry and picked them up like 2 hrs after the completion, and found our clothes just sitting on a table. But I guess thats on us...
There is a machine to purchase detergent and softener for about $1 (I think). The closest grocery store is about a 5 min walk, and the store is pretty big, so if you ever need anything, you can just go there to get it.
The walls are very thin between rooms, I could hear what people next door were talking, especially at night. Kids screaming and shouting in the hallway sometimes but I got used to it so that wasn't a huge deal.
Towels are provided only once, but you can bring them to the front every day to get a clean one.
The check-out process is easy, just leave the room key inside the room and leave.
Overall if you are not living here for a really long time this place is sufficient. You get fridge, TV, beds, shower, sink, etc., so all the things I mentioned above won't be a huge problem.

Although everything was clean, the hotel also has room for improvement (peeling wallpaper and stained sofa). The reception staff were very quick and friendly!

The roadside is full of exquisite residential buildings, and the lawns are neatly trimmed, which is very beautiful. The hotel room is very spacious, the breakfast is also very good, and the service attitude is very friendly and polite. The wooden building structure has a slightly poor sound insulation. The footsteps of the guests on the upper floor can affect the lower floor. Overall, I am very satisfied. Tips, the breakfast is rich, the oatmeal porridge is suitable for the Chinese stomach, and the bagel with butter is very liked.

AAnonymous UserFirst checking in, the gentleman was very friendly and kind. After getting settled in the room it was nice. However, you could hear everything going on in the hallway. Upon asking for more towels there were no bath towels left due to being short staffed. Additionally the cleaning staff were exceptionally loud in the morning and had woken me up.

GGuest UserThe facility was lackluster at best. It used to be great. Eco friendly was claimed for not doing daily room service. Hypocritical. There were paper plates, plastic serve where, and poorly working HVAC units. The organization was simply looking to cut down on costs. Similarly, I’ve seen better breakfasts at hotels that cost half as much. Vents in the bathrooms were nonfunctional. The window could only be closed from the outside. I look forward to posting this on yelp unless you make amends.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel was quiet and felt safe. I requested a handicapped room by the elevator( ahead of time) since I would not have my mobile chair or walker in the hotel. My room ended up being almost all the way down the hall, which meant I only came out when necessary. It would have been nice to be close enough to enjoy the restaurant, coffee bar, breakfast or the pool but everything was just too far. The casino was only three miles away and that is where I rented a scooter for getting around. Overall, staff was nice, the room was comfortable and the walk in shower was nice. The is no Concierge to help with luggage and luggage carts are minimal. This review only has some lower ratings because of being a handicapped traveler. If my ability were not an issue, this hotel would be sufficient.

1117715****We were visiting the school, and this was the worst hotel with terrible service! I booked a king-size bed plus a sofa bed, which cost 300 yuan more than a standard room. However, the dark-skinned woman at the front desk was very unfriendly. When I got to the room, I found it was a standard room. I went downstairs to talk to her, and she was full of lies, saying they had upgraded us to two beds because the room I booked was no longer available. We immediately reported it to Ctrip, and another male front desk staff member changed our room. The service at this hotel is just awful! It doesn't live up to Yale's reputation!
