"I took the cable car to Sarankot, it was a great experience. I had the carriage all to myself. I must say the staff were wonderful.. From the driver who picked me up at my hotel to the ticket staff, the boarding staff and exit staff I would recommend this to everyone going to Sarankot.
I stayed at The high Ground Hotel, it was basic, cheap (£12.00 per night) which included breakfast
My room was excellent and I had a nice view of lakeside from my small balcony
The room and private bathroom was was spotlessly clean.
The staff were wonderful, so helpful and very attentive.
Dinner was great, I tried sadako for the first time, I really enjoyed it after the initial shock of how spicy it was.
The only downside was the weather. It was very misty, so I didn't see the Annapurna Mountains at sunset. The morning was also misty however I did see the mountain a, even if it wasn't clear."

"The hotel is within walking distance to Phewa Lake, and there are many small shops nearby to browse. They offer umbrellas for rent at the front desk on rainy days. The laundry service is paid and outsourced. There seemed to be a communication breakdown among the front desk staff, as I had to go up and down multiple times. The second time I used the wash and dry service, some of my clothes got mixed up with another guest's. That guest had a very thick, waterproof jacket, which resulted in my clothes not being fully dried."

"The location was very good. A short distance walk to the Lake and close to the centre and the main restaurants that are there. The room was clean and had a decent balcony which was nice to sit out in the evenings. Had a small bar and breakfast was okay. I would stay here again."

"During our trip, my phone and cash were stolen. At first, I thought it would be impossible to recover them in a foreign country where I didn’t speak the language, and I had already given up. But after I told the manager, he went above and beyond to help. He asked his partners to accompany me to the police station and even took me around to different places. Throughout the whole process, he kept reassuring me, and in the end, everything was recovered in less than a day.
This hotel truly made us feel relaxed and safe. The manager’s warmth and kindness left us with unforgettable memories."

Coming to positive points :- located in main area of pokhra(near lakeside) . Everything is just a minute away . The other plus is the food of restaurant (hotel portland) . It was a bit on pricier side but very tasty ."

Tai pariyarI stayed alone in a Standard Double Room and found it very comfortable. The room was clean and had a calm, relaxing atmosphere, making it more than comfortable enough for a solo stay. The bed was spacious, allowing for a good night’s rest.
The shower and Wi-Fi worked well without any issues, so there were no inconveniences during the stay. The surrounding environment was pleasant, and it was easy to relax and enjoy a peaceful stay.
The staff were also polite and kind, which made my friend feel safe and comfortable even while staying alone. Considering the price, the overall quality of the hotel was very high, and it is a great choice for solo travelers.

Loved the design and the view. Every room has a balcony. Overall it’s a nice hotel but we came during the low season so probably hence the lack of amenities. The wifi didn’t work even though the owner tried hard to solve it, for the breakfast I got a small cup of instant coffee watered down beyond belief, the pillows if you take of the pillowcase are so dirty that I was about to throw up. And it’s not that we usually stay at fancy hotels but we weren’t lucky with this one.

This is a hotel that I booked before hiking and was satisfied.
Only two reservations in Pokhara.
The above hotel is a good hotel. It's not as gorgeous as a 5 star hotel, but it doesn't have a downside. Reasonable price.
The location is good and the cleanliness is not very clean (compared to Korean hotels), but it is still clean. And warm water comes out well in the bathroom. The staff are also very nice and the communication in English is smooth.

An excellently located guest house. Just off the main road in central Lakeside yet so calm and peaceful. Quite unbelievable really. Beautiful gardens, spacious rooms and 2 min walk to the best section of the lake in this area.
Pratigya, one of the owners, helped me decide what trekking route to take and recommended some cool extra sections that turned out to be big highlights for me. She helped, advised and booked everything from buses, permits, taxis and masseuses and made sure I had her number for in case I ran into problems on my trek. As a solo female traveler this was extremely comforting. When I come back to do one of the treks that can only be done with a guide I will be contacting her and her husband.
I highly recommend Yeti guest house and especially the owners / hosts.

This family run hotel was a great find for relaxing a few days after our trek. It is easy walking distance to the lakeside but far enough away that you don't hear the nightclubs when you want to sleep at night. The beds are comfortable and the room is well designed. There are many thoughtful touches: the table attached to the wall by the door let's you have luggage underneath, the fridge is for you to use and not crammed full of mini bar stuff, there is even a beer mug provided. The full hot breakfast has eggs, chicken sausage, potatoes, toast, fresh fruit, juice, and coffee, we were plenty well fed. You can choose to sit out in the garden area for breakfast if you like. The owner and his family were very friendly and helpful with the owner speaking really good English.

We had a great stay at Hotel Grand Holiday! Really friendly team of staff who helped us with booking the things we needed for our hike, and the room itself was really comfortable and had a balcony, too, which we didn’t realise! (Double room with Mountain View.) Great value for money too. We ended up extending our stay for an extra two days

Anna KekI had a great stay at this hostel in Pokhara, perfectly located right by the lake. The common area is spacious and уютная, making it easy to relax or meet other travelers. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the breakfasts were fresh and delicious… I’d definitely stay here again!
