"I took the cable car to Sarankot, it was a great experience. I had the carriage all to myself. I must say the staff were wonderful.. From the driver who picked me up at my hotel to the ticket staff, the boarding staff and exit staff I would recommend this to everyone going to Sarankot.
I stayed at The high Ground Hotel, it was basic, cheap (£12.00 per night) which included breakfast

The staff were wonderful, so helpful and very attentive.
Dinner was great, I tried sadako for the first time, I really enjoyed it after the initial shock of how spicy it was.
The only downside was the weather. It was very misty, so I didn't see the Annapurna Mountains at sunset. The morning was also misty however I did see the mountain a, even if it wasn't clear."

The hotel was kind enough to let me check in super early in the morning, free of charge, which I really appreciated. It is located in Lakeside, which is the major tourist section of Pokhara. My main issues are with how clean it was and the noise. I always like to do a quick bed bug check, and the mattress was filthy. All of the sheets and towels were frayed and old. Bugs frequently came in and out of the room. The toilet was combined with a shower. And you can hear literally everything.
So if you want a cheap and charming rustic place to stay, this might be it. But it's definitely not quiet or clean."

Pratigya, one of the owners, helped me decide what trekking route to take and recommended some cool extra sections that turned out to be big highlights for me. She helped, advised and booked everything from buses, permits, taxis and masseuses and made sure I had her number for in case I ran into problems on my trek. As a solo female traveler this was extremely comforting. When I come back to do one of the treks that can only be done with a guide I will be contacting her and her husband.
I highly recommend Yeti guest house and especially the owners / hosts."

The laundry service is paid and outsourced. There seemed to be a communication breakdown among the front desk staff, as I had to go up and down multiple times. The second time I used the wash and dry service, some of my clothes got mixed up with another guest's. That guest had a very thick, waterproof jacket, which resulted in my clothes not being fully dried.

SSofia_PoeThe hotel is one kilometre away from the Tourist bus stop. It's also around 15 minutes away from the lake if you go on foot. The location is pretty convenient.
The room ia well-equipped and has a table, two chairs, a TV set, a kettle, an AC, bottled water, and tea. It also has hot (not just warm) water, which was my first time to see in Nepal 😅 I had a nice breakfast, even prepacked one on the day I was leaving too early to have it in.
The main drawback for me was roosters waking each other up starting from 3 am somewhere nearby. Other than that, great indeed.

GGuest UserLoved the design and the view. Every room has a balcony. Overall it’s a nice hotel but we came during the low season so probably hence the lack of amenities. The wifi didn’t work even though the owner tried hard to solve it, for the breakfast I got a small cup of instant coffee watered down beyond belief, the pillows if you take of the pillowcase are so dirty that I was about to throw up. And it’s not that we usually stay at fancy hotels but we weren’t lucky with this one.

VVicky59This family run hotel was a great find for relaxing a few days after our trek. It is easy walking distance to the lakeside but far enough away that you don't hear the nightclubs when you want to sleep at night. The beds are comfortable and the room is well designed. There are many thoughtful touches: the table attached to the wall by the door let's you have luggage underneath, the fridge is for you to use and not crammed full of mini bar stuff, there is even a beer mug provided. The full hot breakfast has eggs, chicken sausage, potatoes, toast, fresh fruit, juice, and coffee, we were plenty well fed. You can choose to sit out in the garden area for breakfast if you like. The owner and his family were very friendly and helpful with the owner speaking really good English.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in a good location. From the balcony, you can see the snow-capped mountains, Fishtail Peak and Anna Peak in the distance. Compared with the overall environment of the hotel, the price is good value for money in Pokhara.
The biggest problem is the hot water in the room. The hot water is not hot. I didn't take a shower during the two nights I stayed.
I communicated with the waiter many times. The waiter's attitude was very patient and kind, but it didn't solve the problem. In their concept, this kind of lukewarm water is hot water.
