Sanctuary Hotel Yangon

Downtown Yangon
We travel across Burma. During our stay in Yangon we got to the opening of a hotel restaurant. Unfortunately, because of this festive day we couldn't have had a full lunch, but the hotel staff would have taken care of us so we wouldn't be hungry. We were frequented several times with super snacks free of charge so that we ate to satisfaction . We also received wonderful gifts : hats , towels and shopping bags. We thank the hotel manager and his staff for taking care of us so much. The restaurant is worth the recommendation. It is worth visiting.

HOTEL BALMI, After staying with 4 of my family in the HOTEL BALMI for 20 days, my experience in this hotel will not disappear in my life time memories. The rooms are huge, high security for the family, spotless clean, high tech light switch, amazing temperature control (even water for shower), very convenient to access to China Town and with fantastic house keeping team. My favourite activity was having a drink & delicious foods and looking the stunning sun set river view from roof top restaurant that is smashing. On the roof top restaurant, Opposite of the river view, I can even see the Shwe Dagon Pagoda (the greatest landmark of Myanmar), WHAT A GOOD LOCATION IS. All the staff are well trained professional in their rows, very polite and willing to provide their relevant services to the guests at anytime even in the 2:00am. My favourite staff are Patrick (F&B Supervisor) Shine Ko Ko (F&B Captain) Zin Ko Khant (F&B Service) Tin Win Aung (Bartender) Thura Maung ( Operation Manager) Than Naing Lin (Bell Boy) Soe Aung (Night Security) Then, I celebrated my 43rd birthday party at the HOTEL BALMI roof top restaurant. All the decorations, live music, foods & drinks managed by restaurant manager Patrick & team. My birthday party was my best party I have ever had. All my family really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We strongly recommend to stay at HOTEL BALMI whatever the reason in Yangon, Myanmar.

Mayangone
We stayed 4 days in this hotel. Punctual airport pick up, check-in, getting us to the room was perfect and smooth. Super friendly staff, amazingly kind owners. We got the colonial wing with a pool view on the second floor. Well kept rooms, quiet and clean. Quality mattress and pillows, soft bed linen. Breakfast was fine with various dishes and fresh fruits. Meticulously maintained fresh seawater swimming pool, the pool staff tended to keep it clean, there was a smoothie bar by the pool. The owner has built a meditation center and we witnessed how the staff uses the meditation center daily, very impressive. Just a 10 minutes walk to many restaurants if you do not want to eat at the hotel restaurant. We enjoyed the relaxing time of two days before we flew out of the country, to our amazement we were blessed with free of charge two total free days when the owner learned that we missed our flight. We have traveled to numerous countries this is the first time that an owner personally attended and showed kindness and hospitality of this caliber. Would recommend this place to anyone who comes in or goes out of Yangon. Unforgettable experience of kindness from the management and a very professional friendly staff. So many sitting areas under the trees by the pool and by the statue of Mother Mary. Well manicured lawn, I saw 100's of Koreans taking pictures as it was a beautiful location to take pictures! We would visit this place again & again!
Reno Hotel

The hotel is very nice but not too close to the center, which always forces to take a means (taxi) to go to the center (foot is unpaid, drive as crazy and there are no pedestrian crossings ...). The rooms are clean and comfortable, the strength point is certainly the very kind, young and ready to meet any request! We were Christmas Day and all were with the Christmas hat! A quite varied restaurant with honest prices, very rich breakfast for those who love the salt breakfast, a little less for those who love the sweet.
Gemsy Hotel
3.2/514 Reviews
Okay I don't usually send reviews but, Gemsy is one of the best value places to stay in Yangon and totally underrated - 23 year YGN vet here. Under 2 year old hotel so the photos are 100% accurate. Stayed here for 7 weeks in May/June 2020 in different rooms including their main royal gemsy, all top notch, even gave me a tour of other options which are all as pic showed. Location not downtown (so maybe not perfect for some), but supermarket a 1min walk away, street food and many restaurants under 3min walk, also on main bus route if wanting to travel as a local further, ofc taxi easy via grab. On staff can only say great, GM Ma Irene perfect, Ma Phyu at reception awesome, other staff also all wearing masks so mmmm names missing but all great and chatty. Simply no negative issues, wish they opened buffet brekkie, but understand during covid, though they will deliver to your room free. Can say much more, but a perfect spot to stay in YGN for sure.

A decent small hotel to spend a night or two in Yangon. Not that far from the bus station and Yangon airport, but far from the city centre. Clean rooms. Friendly and helpful staff, but they forgot to mention that a late check out is not free of charge.

Location is really good. Shwedagon Pagoda is not far away. There is a convenience store near the hotel, and it's a resident area, so you can see street food and sell lots of fruits. If you walk a little, you'll find a big mart and a fast food restaurant. The room I stayed was really spacious and satisfied !! Especially good for three people. Three beds, two bathrooms, and an outside glass view.

City Golf Resort Hotel
3.9/520 Reviews
The hotel is built by Chinese investment, close to Yangon Airport, the surrounding environment is very good, lush trees. Opposite is a large golf course affiliated to the hotel, you can walk. Shopping nearby is not convenient, squatting kyat coins. Dollars, RMB refuses. There are more mosquitoes in the hotel room, it is best to bring your own electric mosquito coil.

A hotel with very good service. I will call to remind you that you have breakfast tomorrow. When the room is opened, the front desk will lead you to your room. When entering and leaving the hotel, the waiter including the parking lot will also greet you warmly and give someone a nice greeting. A feeling of being at home. Then before cleaning, I will call to ask you what time to clean, and I will stay here next time I come to Yangon
