Sakura Wood House

The room that was upgraded with money was just upstairs. It was not bad compared to the room downstairs. Even the washstand was smaller than the cheap room downstairs. Hygiene is average, I don't understand why I took off my shoes to enter the hotel. I feel that the ground is not clean and I am not used to it. The location is quite good, not far from the Grand Palace and Puxi Mountain. Breakfast is provided. Although there are two breads per person, you can also eat.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Everytime I asked them something, they were more than willing to help in anyway they could. The room was lovely and very reasonably priced. The only very minor downside was that breakfast was a little bit limited for someone with quite a lot of food allergies, but the staff could make adaptions to the menu to try and cater for these. Would 100% recommend to anyone staying in Luang Prabang.

Relatively new hotel with beautiful and clean rooms in good location in Luang Prabang. The staff are friendly and helpful, at breakfast you can choose between different options. Water, coffee and tea are available free. Rollers, tours and transfers can also be booked directly on site. Wi-Fi could be a little better in the rooms. All in all a very good price-performance ratio and we would stay there again.

”The breakfast is great!” During my stay at Anlan Hotel, I looked forward to enjoying the hotel's breakfast every morning. It is the best choice to start a good day. The staff is warm and attentive, and the restaurant environment is also clean and comfortable, giving people a homely feeling. I will definitely choose this place again next time I come, and it is worth coming back just for this breakfast! 😊

Exterior: Beautiful, elegant, similar to an ancient lord's house, renovated with white, making it look clean, comfortable to the eyes, simple but elegant, less is more. In the morning, you can give sticky rice to monks in front of the hotel. It's a very beautiful photo spot. Parking: None Service: The receptionist is smiling, friendly, and gives good information. The housekeeper is good, humble, and friendly. The owner is Chinese, but didn't greet me. He just looked at me. Room: Simple, nice, beautiful, with complete amenities, air conditioner, water heater, mini-bar refrigerator, LCD TV, Cable TV, hot water kettle, instant coffee, liquid soap, shampoo, hair dryer (with bidet). Cleanliness is fair. When I opened the blanket, there was 1 strand of hair, which was a little shocking. There are three power outlets: under the TV, next to the dressing table, and at the head of the bed, which is not enough for a family room. Overall, it's good. I'm impressed.

Nice setting with lotus ponds and bridge, lots of trees, flowers, gravel winding paths and hidden seating areas. The pool is small but had lots of available comfy seating and was very clean. Breakfast is in a beautiful setting and the service and food were excellent. The menu has lots of options. Excellent service from reception to housekeeping - the complimentary water, fruit baskets and night time cookies were appreciated. Free bicycle hire and reception can organise trips. The location is okay, a 5-10 minute walk to the main area but that gives you an experience of local life as you pass through the narrow streets. There was some road noise - motorbikes etc but im not sure where you can avoid this in Luang Prabang or even SE Asia. If you are bothered by it, ear plugs will be useful. No noise from any neighbours. The room was a good size with a big balcony overlooking the gardens. Lots of stuff provided e.g toiletries, safe, tea, 3 in 1 coffee - you don't need to bring. (Cant remember seeing a razor but tbh hotel ones are never good so i bring my own). TIP: try not to rely on ATMs here, the charges are expensive. Either bring your own currency and exchange at one of the banks here (i got a good rate) or bring Kip. Many places also accept Thai baht and some US $. The hotel has water so being mosquito spray (housekeeping also offered this).

Wonderful value for the price. It has a very good location, very near the Main Street and Wat Xieng Thong. The guesthouse is homely and comfortable; we liked that it provided hot, warm, and cold water 24/7. The receptionist is very friendly, kind, and helpful. The neighbourhood is serene. Would recommend to others.

This hotel has special meaning to me so I won't give a low score. But the impression of the little girl who may be the boss at the front desk is very common, and I hope she can't understand this passage. Don't trouble me when I stay next time. The breakfast is really good, and sitting on the terrace to eat breakfast is the most enjoyable moment.

I had a very comfortable time in this place. What amazed me the most was the service provided by the host. He offered me a bigger room than the one I booked, then in the evening took me to the downtown and back by scooter (I didn’t want to walk in the dark on my first night), and in the morning he took me to a bike rental and helped to get the best deal. Very kind and friendly! The room was great, spacious and quiet, well-maintained and clean. I also could do my laundry for free, and dry my clothes at the backyard. The location is tad remote from the downtown but I preferred it this way, tranquil and more local. Also, there’s an amazing pizza place on the same street, you have to check it out! Wishing the best of luck to the owners!

The front desk was very accommodating. They let me check in early and check out late. It’s a Chinese hotel and the front desk operator spoke Chinese. You can communicate with him via WhatsApp or a translator app. The room was cozy and had what I needed. Water, shampoo, shower gel, dental kit and towels. The front desk operator was even kind enough to take me to the airport on his motorbike after I checked out! Very chill stay.
