Daiwa Roynet Hotel Tokushima Ekimae

The hotel is just located on the left side of the station. It’s really wonderful. There is also a convenience store located at the ground floor which also makes our lives so much easier. The room (Hollywood twin) is a large and spacious room that can easily accommodate the opening of 2 large suitcases (28 inch). The bathroom is also generous in space, and we could actually move around freely and change clothes in the toilet for once (as compared to other chain hotels in Japan). It has all the comforts and amenities of a proper graded hotel, but the air conditioning was poor. Opened the windows but still felt a little warm throughout the night. The other minor “issue” I observed was how they tried to “automate” the check-in which is a failure in my opinion. Automation is to reduce workflow/ manual work required by parties. However in this case, I had to go to the reception desk for them to make copies of our passport and issue a card (to be used at the check-in machine). Thereafter I have to walk to the machine and insert the card, press a bunch of buttons to be issued the room and room key. So from a customer perspective I’m actually troubled twice, because I need to make 2 stops before actually getting my room. So what’s the point of this check-in machine? Fail to see the benefits of it.

It is an inn that cannot be booked easily, but it was empty by chance, so I booked and stayed for one night. It is an inn with soba shop in the secret of nothing. The staff are very friendly and hospitality is high in a calm atmosphere inn. The room was very large because I chose two cherry blossom baths and pottery baths in the room, and I enjoyed two baths while looking at the magnificent view from the bath. What should be more characteristic is cooking. The meal is a meal in the dining room, but all of them are partitioned in a private room, and there is a Irori in each private room, and you can behave local dishes. The staff at the meal were also local, and I was very satisfied with the history and meals of the soya, and I was very satisfied with the fun and fun. It was the best luxury two days. It is a hot spring inn that I want to visit again.

Excellenf facilities, from the big western japanese room to the onsen near the river. The room was very comfortable and quiet, its windows opened to a beautiful view of the rivers and the orange bridge. Check-in was a little slow and the breakfast consisted of many small dishes none of which we liked very much (it looked good though). Overall a very comfortable base to ecplore Iya if you have your own car/ motorcycle.
Hotel Kazurabashi

The room was large and well appointed. You sleep on futons on the floor. There is also a bath and a toilet, which is unusual for onsen. There is an internal onsen bath on the 3rd floor but what makes this place unusual is that there is an outdoor bath up the hill where you take a mini funicular to reach the location. We had a Kaiseke dinner in the hotel where they feature local ingredients like tofu, potato and fish. To be honest, some of the dishes are an acquired taste but they were exquisitely presented and dinner staff were good. The wagyu beef was especially tasty. Staff are friendly and most can converse in English, which is a plus. The young female owner also has a good voice and sang a lovely song during dinner. The organized a short 20 minute tour after dinner to the vine bridge nearby though it was too dark to see much and the bridge was closed. But it was interesting riding the old school bus. Wifi is unfortunately weak and the Ipad was not able to log in at all. Wifi did not work for my Iphone in the dining room and only worked in the lobby and the bedroom. There is a souvenir store in the lobby area where you can buy local produce like snacks, apparel and ice cream.

The room view of the ocean view and the hot spring were good. The good thing is this. However, the hot spring can only be put until 22 o'clock. It is a pity that the next morning can only be put until 8 o'clock. 24 let me use it until 23. The accommodation meal plan is the Kuroshio Kai seat plan, 1 million 4800 yen. Looking at HP, Kuroshio was a single 6500 yen meeting seat, and ISE shrimp and abalone were eaten. But there is no abalone. When I checked out, it became a story that ”it is funny that there is no abalone”, and after the front desk contacted itaba for a while and exchanged for a while, ”ISE shrimp is two 1 tail, Because the abalone is 1 set by two people, the chef dropped the abalone and made it ISE shrimp 1 tail. As for this matter, the drink fee received during the meal was made to be a service. However, what is the content of the meal plan that the cook is changing independently without knowing the front desk? So far, I have changed to a single traveler, and the content is completely different from the HP photo. The wax that is attached to the sashimi is probably kneaded wasabi, so that I really want to doubt it as a seaside hotel. It is a common story that it is a little different than the HP photograph, but the content is too different. It was the earliest setting dinner time, but all the dishes were cold. Only the meat of pottery plate grilled was hot. (Gun and soup are self) I posted a picture of the meal, but the pottery plate grilled was set, and when I sat down, these were arranged at once. That is, it was cooked in advance. The room was not a non-smoking room, so it corresponded to deodorant. I asked, but I doubt if the smell of cigarettes was puffy before entering the room and really deodorized. There is a hotel riviera in the south of the cherry blossoms a little bit from here, but it is also a deodorant correspondence or the smell was erased properly. In addition, I contacted the inquiry form about the deodorant correspondence and the meal, but there was no answer, so I called 2 days ago and confirmed it. It seems to be a facility that doesn't expect repeaters. frankly, I think this is a good facility to use only hot springs.
Naruto Grand Hotel Kaigetsu

I used it for Naruto sightseeing because I received a ticket for the Kaigetsu group by Furusato tax. The location along the coast was good and the view from the room along the sea was outstanding. It is good to use a car, but if you use a bus or train, you can walk to Otsuka International Museum of art for 10 minutes. This distance is a bit neck. The location of the group ”Sakura Maru Kaigetsu” is better. From the Otsuka International Museum of art, it was a distance to walk to the vortex, so I felt a little extra for 10 minutes. I added dinner buffet afterwards, but I wonder if 5500 yen is a little high for guests. The customer service was good and I am generally satisfied, but I want to try other hotels.
Hotel Route-Inn Anan

I stayed at this hotel for a long time to meet my friend who has lived in Komatsu Island for 50 years. The service was full, the twin room was not so small, clean and very liked, such as 2 cans of service and can beer for a consecutive night at check-in. The guests who came together at breakfast were all business travelers, and the number of cars was national. I would like to repeat it next time I visit Anan.
Hotel Riviera Shishikui

We stayed on the third day of the trip for 3 nights and 4 days on Shikoku pilgrimage. It is a stay after visiting 22nd Equality Temple, 23rd Yakuo Ji Temple and 4th Bad Temple. I planned to stay at Muroto Cape a little longer, but I thought that I was late for JR and bus and made this hotel in front of me. It is a resort hotel with a 10 minute walk from the foot of the Asa Coast Railway Station. The room we stayed in is a twin room on the 5 floor and the Pacific Ocean extends in front of you. 34 ㎡ size has two semi-double beds, sofas and tables and rooms are impeccable. There is a hot spring bath on the 2 floor. The view bath facing the Pacific Ocean was wide 々 and it was possible to heal the fatigue of the pilgrimage trip. There was also a cherry blossom bath in addition to the view bath, but one of the lighting in the washroom repeatedly flashed and felt rusty. The bath is great, but I was surprised that there were no amenities such as cotton swabs, brushes, cheeks, razors and shaving cream. The public bath may be because it is not exclusive to guests but also for day trip bathers, but it was very inconvenient. Also, the cold water utensil was not very willing to drink only in the mouth. Dinner was served with a riviera course at the restaurant Vega on the 1 floor. Following the three kinds of small bowls and seasonal dishes, the construction came out. I made a sweet potato and a tongue drum in the shape of ISE shrimp. The Italian salad of ISE shrimp that came out was also outstanding. In addition, the steak of Awa beef roast, tempura (bri, yarika, eggplant, sweet potato, shishito) and the continuation of the miso soup with the rest of ISE shrimp just before rice and pickles. The dessert was fruit (strawberries, oranges, melons). I enjoyed the course dishes slowly while drinking raw beer and Shikoku specialty shochu. It was a satisfying dinner. Breakfast is the same restaurant Vega. It was a buffet mainly Japanese food, but I think there is a little more variety. Avoiding the time crowded with pilgrimage and going after 7 hours, the guests were able to take breakfast slowly only by one other pair. There was a point problem in the room that seemed to be great. The LED light indicating the on-off of the alarm was missing on the bedside clock and the alarm was not available. It is a pity that the eye is not well seen in the key place including the lighting of the cherry blossom bath.
Super Hotel Anan Tomioka

A super hotel chain that I'm accustomed to staying at. This time I made a reservation from the official website. The inside of the hotel is so similar that you don't know which super hotel this is. When I was relaxing in my room after checking in, the front desk brought me a memory foam pillow that I always use. Thank you. Regarding the location, I felt that there weren't many restaurants in the neighborhood, but I was fine because I'm a convenience store bento person! I was healed by the hot springs separated by gender, and after enjoying the delicious fish cutlet curry for breakfast, I left the inn. I want to stay again. Best!

Wonderful backpacker place in a renovated former sushi restaurant. Great infrastructure, very friendly management, some of them speak English. The restaurant is full of little details, western cooking, and they serve an interesting choice of craft beers and wine. It is located very close to the train station in a covered shopping street
