It is also within walking distance of many conveniences such as bakeries, combinis, and a local cinema. There are coin operated laundry facilities onsite, and the staff are helpful, kind, and professional. There is an onsite dining area, as well as dining facilities, which I can not attest to as I was on business and, as such, left early and returned late. However, the aromas were enticing! Morioka has many beautiful shrines and temples, with Nasukawacho and its 300 Buddha statues being of particular note. Enjoy your stay."

"How do I describe this hotel? In one word: amazing. It was my first time experiencing a mixed-gender bath from over a century ago. I was truly impressed! The elderly gentlemen were just casually strolling around without a care in the world. Families, you absolutely must try the mixed-gender outdoor hot spring bath. It's located in the old wing of the hotel, a bit of a walk from the new wing, but once you're in the hotel, just grab a map and you'll find it. You can also take the opportunity to peek into the rooms and dining hall of this century-old ryokan. As for the room, it goes without saying that upon entering, you're greeted with a flood of green, which was quite a pleasant surprise. The only minor point is that the Hozawa River was a bit murky. I drove upstream along the river, and soon lost cell service, so it is quite remote, but definitely worth a visit. The two meals were decent, nothing spectacular but perfectly acceptable."

"The hotel is about half an hour ride from Ryusendo Cave (龍泉洞) and is close to the Sanriku Coast. Judging from photos, it’s probably better than other hotels nearby in terms of cleanliness and amenities. It doesn’t disappoint me. The public bath （大浴場） is good. The view over the coast is perfect."

The hotel is quite new, and my single room was well-designed; I could fit a 28-inch suitcase at the foot of the bed. The window opens, and the bed was comfortable. It was very quiet during my stay, likely due to lower occupancy, making it perfect for solo travelers. The only downside is that it's a bit of a walk to the nearest convenience store."

"Superb onsen hotel. We took sea view and it was superb with a small balcony. Room are very confortable and big. Onsen was excellent with an outside bath looking at the bay.
We had dinner also and it was 5 star.

"This hotel has an excellent location, very close to the JR station. You just cross the road and it's a short walk away. The hotel looks new, and the rooms, while not huge, have a minimalist feel. The amenities have been upgraded since my last stay at another branch (in a different city last year), making them very convenient to use. The price is also very reasonable. Highly recommended!"

Guest UserThis Toyoko Inn is a bit far from JR Morioka Station, requiring a walk through an underpass, so it's not the most convenient. Unlike other Toyoko Inns, there are no welcome drinks or ramen offered in the evenings. Breakfast is also very standard, and the rooms are quite small. Overall, it's an average experience.

The hotel was fantastic! Staff were all very friendly. Check in process was hassle free and easy. Housekeeping even hangs fresh towels and toiletries outside my room as I’ve indicated no cleaning required and that’s really nice of them.
Location was marvellous! Located just right opposite the Morioka Shinkansen Station. Use the underpass to get across the streets. Elevators to the underpass is located near the bus station. So do not worry if you have bulky luggage.
The room I stayed in is spacious even for 2 pax with big luggage. Water pressure and heater works well.
There are plenty of food options in the areas and a McDonald at B1 of the small Mall across the street. Convenient store is just along the main road.

Location: Right next to the station, and the bus stop for Kagura Ski Resort is right outside the door.
Environment: Clean and the bed was comfortable.
Amenities: They have a large public bath, and self-service luggage storage after check-out.
Value: Great value for money, no complaints so far!

Victor18Good location and near to the airport. I would say it is a very practical hotel to stay over while waiting for flight.
It meet all the needs, have a bath house vending machine,washing machine etc... Breakfast was also pretty good.
Taxi to airport was less than 10 mintutes and about 1100Yen. Can't really hear any planes flying so can sleep peacefully as well.
Hotel Staff was also helpful in booking Taxi for me. Have a 7 eleven nearby.

The hot springs are great, and the food is better than expected, but there is no air conditioning. If you come in summer, be careful. The hotel does not have independent toilets and bathrooms, and the sound insulation is also slightly poor.
