We are traveling as a family. The location of Hotel No. 2 is very good. It is not far from Takayama Station. We stayed for 5 nights. Although there is no parking space, there is a parking lot next to the hotel. Parking is very convenient. If the parking space is full, you can Park in the large parking lot next to Takayama Station. The room is quite spacious and has a small kitchen with pots and pans which is very considerate. Next time I come to Takayama, I would like to stay again.
Facilities: Newly decorated, spacious rooms, ironing machines in each room, comfortable beds and pillows
Sanitation: Clean and bright
Environment: Located in the downtown area of Gifu City, the soundproofing is very good, there is a convenience store on the first floor for shopping, and it is next to the Meitetsu station, so it is very convenient to take the train to Central Japan Airport
Service: The front desk lady is warm and thoughtful, and has a good attitude towards Chinese people
We had a pleasant stay at this comfortable hotel, located in the middle of nowhere—perfect for those seeking a peaceful retreat. The bedding was very comfortable, and the cleanliness was impeccable.
The only minor issue was the heater, which couldn’t be adjusted. However, we solved the problem by turning it off, and it worked out fine for us.
Overall, it was a relaxing stay, and we appreciated the effort the hotel put into providing a clean and cozy environment.
This hotel is adjacent to Gifu Seiryu Park, and the staff's attentiveness and service were excellent.
The bed was soft and fluffy and I slept well.
There is a hot spring called Sato no Yu within walking distance, as well as a cafe that serves breakfast from 8am, and a short drive to Minokamo city, so it wasn't as inconvenient as I thought it would be.
I would like to stay here more often in the future.
The hotel is a bit old but still a lovely place to stay. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The location was a walk away to ogaki station so it is really accessible. We'd love to book this hotel when we return!
In front of the Meitetsu terminal Shin-Hashima Station, close to the subway, but feels rather desolate. There is a supermarket at the station that closes at 9 o'clock, and there are not many restaurants nearby. The only advantage is that it is very cheap on holidays, suitable for self-driving. There are car rental companies nearby that can drive to the suburbs. The service staff is very friendly and
The lake view room has a beautiful view. The room is clean and comfortable. I stayed for two nights. There are many choices for breakfast and dinner. The taste is good. You can taste local specialty ingredients. The dinner on the second night was richer than the first night.
Overall it was comfortable. The room was clean and had basic amenities, so I was able to spend it without any problems. The staff 々 was also kind and check-in and check-out were smooth. The location is convenient and I would like to use it if I have another chance.
雲雲尼王A small hot spring hotel. I really feel the hotel's care. Compared to more prosperous areas, I prefer this kind of remote small hotel. I feel that the hotel wants to do every place carefully. Although the price is cheap, there are many details. Everything is well done. For example, there is a self-service snack and drink area in the lobby, which is available 24 hours a day. Yukata for children is also provided. The hotel rooms are very clean. I wonder if they have been renovated, so the rooms are very new and clean.
CChar_maineThe hotel is very close to the Takayama station and Nohi Bus Center. The old town is in walking distance of around 10-15 minutes, with many different types of restaurants and souvenir shops nearby. Impressed by the hotel providing rice soup bowl every night for hotel guests.
The hotel room is very clean and neat. Surprisingly it is very spacious too.
GGuest UserThe hotel is settled in the middle of Gero Hot Spring town, short walk from the train station and can also be reached via bus from Kamikochi area.
The hotel itself is very clean and well maintained. You can feel the spirit of older times in this hotel with a lot of beautifully selected decoration pieces.
The manager showed us around and even offered us a new room since I accidentally booked one without shower (we declined that offer since we only wanted to stay for one night). That’s why we used the Onsen area for showering which is beautiful and includes all amenities. View above Gero and including an outside Onsen area to watch the sunrise.
The staff was very friendly, the manager even drove us to the bus station since we forgot our jackets in the bus. The bar is well-equipped and a great place for a drink or two.
One of the best parts was the breakfast. Never had such a good Japanese breakfast before- delicious, served in a private room, beautifully arranged. Next time we want to try their dinner :-)
We felt like family and I can recommend anyone going to Gero to stay at this great hotel! Thanks again for your hospitality!
AAnonymous UserI am very satisfied with the hotel room! The rooms are spacious and bright, with modern décor and comfortable, relaxing feel. The bed was very comfortable and I had a great sleep. The bathroom facilities are neat and well-equipped and very convenient to use. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay!
UUnabashedThis is very well kept 3 star hotel is 5 to 10 minutes shuttle outside of the centre of Takayama. It’s an absolute gem. The hotel provides a shuttle from the station - there’s a one person staffed office ton can have tea and coffee in while waiting opposite the station - and it’s regular and timely. The staff are delightful and courteous and helpful. The rooms are nothing exciting but they’re spacious enough and very clean and regularly tended. The happy hours at 5 and the complimentary ramen at 8 is lovely. Across the road there’s a large family mart that has all the essentials and food for an evening meal. Despite the motel-vibe, there’s just a great atmosphere about the place and the staff should be commended. Thank you for making our trip so memorable, Torbino hotel
GGuest UserThis place is so beautiful, traditional style rooms and sliding doors, lots of natural wood. It felt like I was in a luxury hotel! The woman who ran in was so kind and friendly, I loved my stay here. I stayed here to hike a portion of the Nakasendo Way- Magome to Tsumago. It’s not close, you have to go to take like 2 or 3 transits to get there, I think it was like 2 hours to get there if I remember. It’s an old, traditional Japanese village- the buildings are really cool. There wasn’t much going on though while I was there, not many restaurants open. I ended up stocking up on food from 7/11 in Ena or Nakatsugawa I think it was to take back with me because there aren’t any stores like that in Iwamura that I found. You can get cash out from the ATM at the post office. This was a very peaceful place and a cool insight into a non-touristy area of Japanese life. Would definitely recommend this accommodation.
GGuest UserA family of 6 with 4 kids. We stayed in 2 rooms and they granted our request for rooms next to each other. Rooms were ok with working hot shower, towels, toothbrush and toiletries. Coffee and tea were also free. Japanese breakfast was a welcome surprise and we got to enjoy a snowy view of Takayama station while sipping freshly-brewed coffee.
The hotel itself is old-ish and so are the facilities. There's a laundromat, massage chairs and a drugstore beside the hotel. There's also a Family Mart convenience store that's walking distance. It is directly across Takayama Station so it's in a very convenient location!
