3-Star Hotels in Lazio, Italy

I'm sure that each of us has his own scale of factors to evaluate whether a place is beautiful or ugly but that the added value is the people. In this clean, nice and very comfortable hotel, near the Roma Termini station, it is precisely the people who make a small hotel a point of reference for our trips to Rome. Paola from the reception was, and is, the person who followed us during the booking process and who went out of her way to help us project our photographs on a wall, in a small room set up just for us, a small group of photographers arrived in town for a two day photography course. Thanks Thanks Thanks dear Paola, you are invaluable for the hotel and for the people who stay with you.. an infinite thanks from all of us. Federica

I stayed here for 3 nights with my friend. 10€ a night was a great deal. Met some fun people at the hostel and had a good time. Location was also convenient with grocery store and bus stop to most places near. My only complaints would be there is extra fee with city tax 10€ each we were not told about. Bathrooms have strange odour, and air conditioning was on all night when it's already quite cold. I ended up getting a cold from the air con. And also me and my friend were 2 women and we were put in 8 bedroom room with only men so was wary of safety, especially since one of the men tried to ask me to sleep with him in the middle of the night! But again the type of customer is not the hostels fault. If you want a cheap place to stay and don’t mind not living in luxury, come here for sure also a great way to meet new people in the city.

I and my fellow stayed early in this facility a little while ago... nothing to say about cleaning, but on furniture and the environment you... Little room, but at the end this is not the real problem...the real problem is darkness inside the Room... dark walls and window with the persians that did not open so we were forced to light even in the day. Small but nice bathroom, as small but clean shower. The staff is very friendly, but don't ask the reception for information about the trains because they don't know them. The Council for the nearness of the station, but if it wasn't for that, I don't know if I had chosen this structure... to be revised a lot.

We had Room 557, a corner room with a spectacular view. We spent a lot of time just looking out of the window. The majority of the staff were wonderful, kind and welcoming. We enjoyed the bountiful breakfast which had everything we could possibly want, including my favorite, decaf cappuccino! I highly recommend this hotel, the location was perfect, just five blocks from Termini Station, and close to the Piazza della Repubblica, and those wonderful ruins of the Baths, just across the street, amazing!

We overnighted at the hotel at the end of a trip 8/10/22. We were met with a check-in line. The room was basic, spiffed up with an Aero desk chair. Room lighting needed to be unplugged in order to plug in a charger; there was no receptacle on my side of the bed. The room was clean--the rug in the hallway needed vacuuming. We supposedly had access to the lounge on the HHonors floor, but we needed to have our room cards re-progammed 3 times in order to use them. WiFi was available but no one explained that there was a code that needed to be entered to use the free wifi until we called the desk. The staff was courteous and we owe it to the concierge who directed us to Pizzeria Clementina in Fiumicino for EXCELLENT pizza. The meal in the hotel restaurant was average. If you have to overnight, it is convenient to use this hotel, as it is about a 7 minute walk to either terminal 1 or 3, all but 25 yards of it indoors.

My check-in process was disappointing. First of all, it was impossible to contact the hotel the day before and on the morning of my arrival. The hotel’s phone was always unavailable. There were a few tones at the beginning, but then it cut off like someone picked up and dropped the phone on purpose. When I mentioned this to the front desk lady, she pretended to be unaware and told me they had this issue for 2 days and were waiting for a technician to fix the phone. I did not buy this story. Because I couldn’t contact the hotel, I couldn’t make my major request - a room on a high floor with a city view. Of course, when I checked in around 6 p.m., I was told the only available room was on the second floor. Generally, I found the hotel’s front desk staff (and housekeepers) not very friendly or helpful. Every day, the front desk staff looked annoyed and angry, especially the girls. The guys had a slightly better attitude. My Double Room was on the second floor. The room was not soundproof at all. I could clearly hear noises from the hallway and outside. I was especially annoyed by kids screaming and running up and down the hallway every single day. It is sad that their parents allowed them to behave like that inside the small hotel, and none of the hotel’s staff cared to address the issue. My room’s size was okay for 2 people, the room was ideally clean, and I actually liked its pretty design, including the colors. The room was obviously renovated, but some furniture pieces still had scratches and looked not “fresh.” The room had only one window, and because of the narrow street and a building right across, there was not much natural daylight. Plus, I could clearly see into the windows across, and they could see me, so I often had to keep the curtains closed and use the room lighting. I definitely hated the very small and outdated TV. The refrigerator was also old and had a slightly weird, not fresh smell. Luckily, the closet was big and could fit a lot of stuff inside, but the safe inside the closet was old and small. The Double bed was not very comfortable, including the awful pillows. Another issue in the room was not enough plugs; my partner and I struggled to charge all our gadgets one after another. The hotel’s Wi-Fi was not super fast. Sometimes I could not even upload a 1-minute video to Facebook or watch a YouTube video in high quality. The bathroom was big enough, but the shower stall was super tiny and uncomfortable. The actual shower did not work well - the water pressure was weak, and the broken shower he

The bed, shower, block out curtains and air-conditioning were all great. That's all I needed to recover from my flight. Shuttle bus from airport great too. Staff are not particularly friendly or helpful and It feels a bit like a youth hostel. Avoid the food options in the hotel. There's a great Cafe in the shopping mall next door, also restaurants and a huge supermarket. Train to Termini is next to hotel too.

Hotel is well located, 15 minutes walk to Trevi Fountain and 20 to the Colosseum, 5 minutes to Termini Train/Bus station. Staff were very helpful and friendy. Rooms are small but serve their purpose well, very clean, ensuite was a good size and well stocked with shampoos etc. Breakfast was continental with lots to eat and lovely coffee.

We stayed here for 8 days in August. One adult and 2 teens. Had the family room with the loft area had 3 twin beds. Pro’s- Clean, near Roma Termini, nice neighborhood with restaurants and bars near by, felt safe, nice courtyard to sit and have a drink, about a 30min walk to coliseum area, friendly staff, spacious room, housekeeping came everyday and gave us fresh towels if we wanted and cleaned. Con’s— the shower was very small and drained very slowly, there was no mirror in the main room so if someone was using the bathroom you could not do your makeup at the same time. Overall this was a good hotel for the price. I would definitely go back again. Although if my husband was to come we would have to get a room with a bigger shower as he would not fit.

We stayed in this hotel for two nights. After reading one review left previously I was a little sceptical, I shouldn't have been and it just thought me what I already suspected.some people cannot be pleased. This hotel was charming and quaint and we would be delighted to stay here again. On first sight the area surrounding the hotel does appear run down and rough.howevever after exploring the surrounding area our opinion quickly changed. Any shop or restaurant we went to we found everyone to be extremely helpful and gracious. The hotel itself is a little gem. Our room overlooked a small courtyard and we had a balcony with a seating area. Beds were very comfortable and the room was spotless. On arriving back the second day after exploring Rome we found our beds had been remade and the room cleaned.the bathroom was obviously recently renovated and was spacious.and had a lovely large shower . Breakfast in the morning was more than adequate and a bargain at €5 a person. As for the staff.each of them that we dealt with were more than happy to offer advice on public transport ,giving us a map and writing down which bus/train to take and where to embark and disembark etc.they booked us a table at a local restaurant and a cab on our request.all was done graciously and without any annoyance. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who likes something a little different and unique.

Hotel is in perfect location for termini. On street opposite entrance to termini. The hop on buses go from same street 2 minutes walk away. Trevi fountain is 20 minutes walk. Nice walk in cool evenings. The street is safe as is most of Rome. Breakfast is same as anywhere, eggs rashers great fruit grapes orange pineapple, cold water and coffee etc. We paid 740 for 5 nights including breakfast. Lovely reception staff, would recommend

We supposedly had access to the lounge on the HHonors floor, but we needed to have our room cards re-progammed 3 times in order to use them. WiFi was available but no one explained that there was a code that needed to be entered to use the free wifi until we called the desk. The staff was courteous and we owe it to the concierge who directed us to Pizzeria Clementina in Fiumicino for EXCELLENT pizza. The meal in the hotel restaurant was average. If you have to overnight, it is convenient to use this hotel, as it is about a 7 minute walk to either terminal 1 or 3, all but 25 yards of it indoors.

The bed, shower, block out curtains and air-conditioning were all great. That's all I needed to recover from my flight. Shuttle bus from airport great too. Staff are not particularly friendly or helpful and It feels a bit like a youth hostel. Avoid the food options in the hotel. There's a great Cafe in the shopping mall next door, also restaurants and a huge supermarket. Train to Termini is next to hotel too.

We stayed here as a jumping off point for an early morning international flight out of Italy. We arrived after a long overland trip by train and bus, and were in need of some refreshment, a shower and sleep. The hotel was quite comfortable although the room showed some signs of mould and the grout in the shower was dirty. A lift was available to access upper floors. Our main complaint regards refreshment. There was no catering available at the hotel. We were directed to a pleasant restaurant nearby. We like to make a cup of tea or coffee in our room. There was no electric kettle, nor was there any cups or cutlery. I approached reception to ask for some cups, but this was refused but I was offered some disposable plastic cups. There was no milk, tea or coffee provided in the room and milk was unavailable at reception ( but we had some teabags and chocolate sachets in our luggage), and when we attempted to use the cooktop in the kitchenette all of the power shut down in the bedsit. I reported to reception and was advised that this was because I had not paid the surcharge for cooker use. I note here that the power had to be manually restored, and because reception closed at midnight a traveller might easily have no light or heating/cooling if the cooker was used after a late arrival.

Very clean and kind hotel. They let us check in early and organized a taxi for our early morning flight. Very close to all the restaurants. Only issue, was the bathroom door locked us out. They manager came to help quickly, but that was a strange problem, eh? Overall would recommend.

This place provided a great two bedroom suite for three of us to rest our weary heads! It might not work well for all travelers of 3 because the access to the bathroom was through the smaller bedroom. The owner speaks English and was very accommodating. He was so kind and helpful. The room we were in was within a locked gate making us feel very secure. I was delightfully surprised when I initially walked in the room. The shower was bigger than most that we experienced in Italy. Dining in the walkable area is limited but doable. A/C in each room worked well. Refrigerator had to be turned on when we arrived but worked fine. TV in the main bedroom. It is located on a side street but because of it's proximity to the airport the planes fly very low overhead.

Due to a computer mixup (we believe), we ended up with two reservations through ***********. When it was brought to our attention we worked with the staff at Isa residence to cancel one booking and we were assured it would be free of charge. Unfortunately we were charged on our credit card for the cancelled booking in full ($150 CAD). Although we were assured verbally and in writing that the booking would be cancelled without charge, the hotel staff has not responded to my repeated requests for assistance. There are two email addresses available on their website, neither of which are valid addresses. My repeated attempts at contacting them through WhatsApp have gone unanswered and they don’t answer their telephone. Although our stay was lovely and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, this experience has been very difficult and frustrating. I would not recommend Isa residence.

Everything else was good, except that the whole room had a strong fragrance when I checked in, which was a bit unbearable. My family used clothes to fan it for a long time. I felt that it took at least half an hour.

We've stayed at Domus Lina several times. It's a fantastic value and located in a great part of the town of Fiumicino. It's a boutique hotel that has many personal touches. I recommend one of the larger rooms with the balcony. Check in is at 2pm. Once you have your room key, you're also given a front door code to use when the manager is not there. If you're around in the morning (many folks have an early departure at the airport), the breakfast on offer is fantastic. And just across the street is a wonderful fish restaurant to have dinner or lunch at.

The location is very remote and inconvenient. There is no bus or transportation to reach the hotel at all, unless you drive by yourself. So it is particularly unfriendly to tourists traveling alone. If you want to come from the city center, you have to take the subway for an hour and a half and then turn to the small train. After getting off the small train, you have to walk 5 kilometers on foot, and the road is full of cars coming and going. There is no place for pedestrians to go, which is particularly unsafe. In short, it is difficult to find this hotel and it is inconvenient without a car. However, there is a bus to the airport, the price is 6 euros, but the hotel will charge 9 euros, and the other 3 euros for the hotel....It is about 5 kilometers away from the sea, and you can take uber, but it starts at 22 euros and costs 45 round trips. Oh, if you walk, it will take nearly an hour...The seaside is beautiful and worth a visit. Everyone consider it for yourself.

Great place to stay prior to a morning flight. Just blocks from the beach and amazing beach restaurants. Excellent service. The breakfast left a little to be desired, but it was free. Nice sized room for my family of 4. Set up a cab ride to the airport in the AM.
