Didn't know what to expect, I booked one night. Boy, how regretful I was. Wish I stayed longer. Bed & pillow were super comfortable. And the surprise? BOLSTER...! I immediately feel at home & indeed, I slept like baby. AC was okay, but the hot water pressure was consistently great, and it made my ritual of hot shower before going to bed perfectly kept. One thing I noticed is how the attention to detail is given to ensure the cleanliness is kept around the clock. 4 times I went to the public toilet and the seat is ALWAYS dry and clean. Yes, I have an serious case of OCD & yet I can't fault the cleanliness. Although a bit dark in Reception desk, Putri the receptionist is always eager to assist. The others need to learn from her professional hospitality attitude. Lobby is small but functional. The Hall meeting room is spacious. My meeting arrangement was easily accommodated and professionally well taken care of by Freshi Moreno. A big thank you for extending your flexibility toward my changing meeting arrangement need. Breakfast selection was varied & satisfying but the group's loud chatters turned off my appetite slightly. Location is great, rate is affordable but at product this good it should've fetched a few more rupiah. Concussion: Stay here. Period. Highly recommended.

Got upgraded to junior suites, thanks to hotel front officer. Unfortunately, our room was very hot because it is on the highest floor. Bathroom was great with shower and bathub.

Although Hotel 88 is in the budget hotel or 2 star rating, the facilities are equivalent to the 3 star. The room is not too narrow and comfortable. However, his breakfast varied in a 3 star class and is delicious. For ala carte the food is also delicious and the price is very affordable. The location of the hotel is also in the middle of Surabaya near Tunjungan Plaza. Recomended!

Location is perfect! Near airport. It will be the first choice for anyone who looking for morning flight stay. The hotel was new! Great service! The room was clean and comfortable. They have swimming pool and mini gym. Breakfast was great! Very a lot of choice from indonesian food to western food. The staffs were great service! Even the security help me a lot to packing my boxes.

I stayed for one night. It’s not far from train station, less than 20 minutes walk. The hotel allowed me to check-in earlier despite no personal request when booking. I booked the cheapest rate without breakfast because I didn’t know what they offer for breakfast during these times. One thing I remember the most is that the towel and linen smelled nice, I think it’s jasmine. Amenities were enough, including slippers. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Luggage rack and door handle were not in a good condition (screws were loose), and the safe box was locked, I couldn’t use it. Hotel played instrumental musics on speakers, but it’s quite disturbing when it’s 10pm and you could hear it from the room. Cleanliness need to be improved. I found the dirts from previous guest under the bed frame, and public restroom on lobby wasn’t clean enough. Receptionists were ok, I didn’t interact with other staffs. I don’t mind staying here again.

Me and my friends had an amazing stay here. The staff are very responsive and helped me fixed my suitcase. They also helped us install Netflix in our room. The room was great and we got the view of Surabaya as well. The only thing that they need to be improve is the lighting in the room cause it is a little bit dark for me.

Hotel lobby was ok. The check in was quick. Once we got to our room I was fascinated. Large room with super large bed. Room service was affordable. The downside was the pool which was small in my opinion. Beside is Tunjungan Plaza. Sooooo big you will get lost inside. We chose this hotel as it’s near to the National Day celebrations. Will choose the Swiss belinn brand again.

Clean, tidy, good service. I've spent one night and it was great. The room was clean not even too big and the location is good near two malls. It's also close to a public university so food prices are cheaper. Nice swimming pool about 1.3m deep. When I arrived at the room, CS called me by phone to ask if everything is ok or not. However, when I swam in the morning, there was no pool guide so I couldn't ask for a pool towel. Please provide sajadah later because i didnt find it.

This hotel has the worst service I've ever experienced. And the front desk, FENI. and the manager ANIE are the worst people I've ever encountered in hospitality industry.(photos attached). My experience was, I came with two other people. Booked and paid two rooms for 3 days 2 nights. Check in process, the front desk lady isn't even warm at all. Very rude. And she asked for deposit. And I said I got no cash so I will just go in the room first, and waiting for my other friend to arrived from the airport to just pay the deposit later upon their arrival. She rudely said NO. I asked nicely but she again said NO. She said I just need to wait, or use my credit card. And because her attitude was already HORRIBLE, I then refused to go along with her request. She then added ”You're from the big city, impossible you have no money”. Unbelievable. Long story short, I asked for the manager and surprisingly, the manager is no help either. She even more rude. Once she said ”you got no cash? People from big city must have credit card right?” Yet I still asked for help and understanding to pay in a couple hours. She said ok, (rudely) asked for ID card of three of us until we pay the deposit. Then I agreed. But because I left my wallet at home, I gave her my passport. And she touched the passport and said rudely ”I don't want this, I want ID card!”. I don't understand how she doesn't consider passport is a legitimate government ID. Then we decided to better leave and book another hotel instead staying at this already HORRIBLE hospitality. They also doesn't want to give us refund. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. DONT STAY

We had to extend in Malang a night and then spontaneously booked the same hotel. From outside and in the entrance area a real hingucker. The room (with 3 beds although we were only to the second) has somewhat disturbed the first impression. In the large and whole, however clean but with 3 beds there is no place in the room. In the bathroom you have to take some boards (at least with us in the room): It was not quite clean for this, but a little shampoo to the board. The staff was very friendly and checked in earlier. If the price is true, you can still stay here.

When it comes to hospitality industry, excellence in every service aspects is no compromise. Although MaxOne Ascent Malang positioned itself as a budget hotel, it should not sacrifice anything on their line of service. Unfortunately, I don't find this hotel ...worth to stay for second time. When I first enter the premise from back door adjacent to parking lot, I found the atmosphere a bit shabby and gloomy. I went to receptionist for check-in, friendly and smooth service. When I entered my room, I noticed that the room wall is dirty and aged. I went to bathroom, I found some hair around shower floor drain. And when I use shower to bath, the floor drain is a bit clogged so the water didn't drain properly. I opened toilet to pee and I found there still some ”dirt” left on the toilet bowl. I do hope that there will improvement in overall experience with MaxOne Ascent Malang.

Liked everything. Especially the people that run the place, the travelers community, the people that you meet, the location and the stay itself. Can't recommend enough.

I was staying there with my family. Totally got Balinese vibes with a good ambience. Room is just common as usual but the outdoor area is great. Maybe you need to improve your hospitality of staffs. Sorry, as I am a hotelier too, I would say the hospitality should be increased more. I was about to re-schedule my stay but I canceled because it was not FOC. But then when I checked-in the staff was asking me for the charge of re-schedule (in fact I didn't re-schedule). I mean how could you missed it? I also was asking for the hairdryer to be sent to my room but the staff didn't give it directly until I need to call back and remind and no sorry at all on the phone. Oh I can't remember the name but there was a guy that assist me to the room and when I met him in the next day he still remembered me and greeting me in polite way. I didn't get his name but he has clear skin and thin body. Say my thank to him. But overall it was great to have you (Ubud Cottage Malang) for my holiday. Seriously, didn't mean to say anything bad. It was just suggestion to improve. Thanks

Strategic location in Oro-Oro Dowo area. The hotel building is new. Hotel cleanliness and rooms are always awake. Comfortable rooms, clean bathrooms and hot and cold water works well. Receptionist and hotel staff are friendly. For star hotel *** plus value there is the swimming pool, and if the color is so delightful at night, the pool color can change. The hotel price is according to the standard of *** star, but if the holidays there is a adjustment for the price increase. This hotel is suitable for staying with family. The students around the hotel have enough options. Close to the clean and well-established Oro-oro Dowo Market and Malabar City Forest. Unfortunately couldn't try his breakfast, because our family had a trip to Bromo. So can't give testimony Take care and improve hotel service.

Perfection doesn’t exist, and Artotel Surabaya is no exception. I booked their Studio 25 room for a one night stopover with my family. I had somewhat high expectations, especially for a 3-star hotel. But I forgot what it was - a 3 star hotel. It is just average, though by no means disappointing. I just didn’t find anything that was worth a glowing opinion about. I have no complaints about its facilities, but what struck me was the fact that there was no lock in the bathroom door. I didn’t understand why (and I didn’t bother asking).. maybe because it doubled as a mirror sliding door? I thought it was a clever use of space, until I found the lack of security in the bathroom. Another thing was the cleanliness. When I first came into the room after checking in, the floor felt dirty under my feet. Like it was last cleaned a day previously. I don’t know what the housekeeping procedures are like in hotels, but if you know a guest is coming in, surely you should ensure it’s spotless? I decided to ignore it because I was staying only one night, but if I had been planning to stay longer I would’ve asked them to sweep and mop the floor again. Thankfully I left on a high note, because of its breakfast. I had the traditional food and I think it was some of the best Indonesian food options I’ve had, for a hotel of the same class. Would I stay here again? Maybe not, but I wouldn’t mind trying their lunch or dinner menu, with the hope that it’s at least as good as their breakfast.

Stayed for weekend with family. Came early at around 10am and requested for early check in. Assisted by Mr. Okha for checking us in, and offered an upgrade to Executive room with a really friendly price and granted us the early check in too. What a deal! He also sincerely helped us with delivering our luggage to the room. Credits to him. Room was spacious, clean and well equipped (except for the non-cold mini fridge, like many other hotels). Room service waitress during dinner time was friendly too. Breakfast was typical, salad station could be improved. Hassle free check out. Thanks Santika!

New hotel, when I stayed maybe just a few weeks opening so for the facilities still good and new. Overall it is very good including service, but there are some things that need to be improved, especially for motorbike parking where the access is very steep and leaning and narrow road, which I think can harm guests. Then for the cleanliness of the room, the floor was so dirty that made me keep lifting slippers when in the room because I didn't get a sliper, for the bathroom also the water was bounced. but more plus for this price,because there is a balcony and the room is soundproofed too.
