"The service from staff was ok but rooms not being cleaned for 5 days ? ? I did advise reception that the coat hanger on the bathroom door was missing, therefore no where to hang either dressing gowns or towels. Although there was a small radiator, it is not large enough for four towels. Plus I mentioned that the room window double glazing had blown. Also the evening lounge are could be improved. The food and service was fine."

Best Western has a proud history of providing great service in fantastic hotels. And this fine accommodation has a proud history of giving warm welcomes and fond farewells...over three Centuries worth in fact! In the historic market town of Swaffham, Best Western George Hotel is an ideal base to explore the beautiful North Norfolk coast from, and puts guests right at the heart of Englands East. Sandringham is a delightful drive away, but if you want a right royal service back at the hotel, youre more than welcome to enjoy lunch or dinner in the superb Green Room restaurant... or if you prefer, take afternoon tea in the lounge. Saturdays are the highlight of the week for shoppers, with the hustle and bustle of a traditional local market directly opposite the 16th Century coaching inn-turned-hotel, giving you a true taste of English country life.

"Service was good Lighting in the room was not good - when you enter a room you expect a light switch to be near the door instead of having to go to the light switches half way into the room next to the bed, even the receptionist was baffled. To get a light on near to the door entrance you have to turn the bathroom light on !!! A socket to the left hand side of the window is fitted sideways !!! The sockets to the right hand side of the dressing table should not be one on top of the other Lots of condensation on the windows therefore dripping due to the aluminium frames"

"I stayed at The George Hotel in Norwich for a quick overnight stop and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Although I booked a super cheap deal for a single room, I was given a double room which was warm and comfortable. The location is easy to reach and it's about a 15 minute walk to the big shopping area in Norwich. The hotel staff were really attentive and friendly during check in and check out, they certainly made me feel very welcome and I wouldn't mind staying at The George Hotel again. They have an onsite restaurant called The Arlington Bistro which I would like to try as I didn't have a meal there during my stay. In summary, I can definitely recommend this nice, friendly hotel for everyone."

The hotel is a short walk from the railway and within easy access to the Cathedral and city centre. I stayed there for 2 nights. In the 1st night, the bathroom light was out of order as there was no one in the hotel to take care of it. Nothing was done in the following morning, and the only thing to be done is to change the room in the afternoon. The hotel looks tired and needs some touching up, yet the rooms are spacious, functional and clean, and the bed is comfortable. There is an issue with dampness in walls though it is not too serious. If you look for a budget place to sleep at night, this is the place for you.

Booked for one night to go to the football at Carrie road which is about 15min walk from hotel town centre is about 20min walk, it is easy to get to from the station just a short walk, arrived and some other guests let me in at first as the manager was not there, he arrived a few minutes later and quickly booked quests in, very easy process he showed me were I was staying as staying the other side of hotel, told me if I had any problems to ring the number on the paper stuck to the back of the door, and if I wanted to use the WiFi the code was also there. Room was small but had a shower toilet and sink as well as a hairdryer and clothes rack. There was also a kettle with tea and coffee facilities. Overall place was clean and tidy I stayed in the top part at the front it was a pleasant stay.

Communal toilets were clean, the hotel was warm but due to not being able to adjust the heating in the room ( house rules ) it was unbearably hot so we had to have the window open - no consideration from the staff at the restaurant next to the hotel as they were loudly throwing things into the bins just below our room at 12am. Therefore my partner had extremely broken sleep, did not feel rested and was exhausted the next day, but good value for what it is and likely better for solo business travelling as the hotel can supply earplugs. Rang the number for the hotel as advised before checking in, called three times but no answer so had to ring the doorbell twice before being let in, staff seemed unhappy to be answering the door and slightly unwelcoming ( this was at only 5pm )

1. **Breakfast Variety**: The breakfast here is fantastic! There are plenty of choices to suit different tastes, making it a great way to start the day. 2. **Amenities**: The hotel features a well-equipped gym and indoor swimming pools, which are perfect for staying active or unwinding after a long day. 3. **Room Size**: The rooms are spacious, offering plenty of room to relax. However, they do have a slightly older decor that might not appeal to everyone. 4. **Toiletries**: A heads-up for future guests: remember to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, and slippers, as these are not provided. 5. **Location Considerations**: If you're not driving, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. It’s a bit isolated, making it less convenient for those relying on public transport.

A lovely hotel, across from river moorings, and in a peaceful setting. The Staff were very helpful, even carrying my case up the quirky staircase. The room was clean, with good decor, and facilities. The en-suite had a bath and shower, which was a bonus. The only downside was limited plug sockets, but it was a minor issue. The hotel itself is welcoming, with some low doorways and corridors, adding to the original features. And despite a mix of old/new decor as they continue to make improvements, it had a very relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was lovely, well-cooked with lots of flavour (great bacon and sausage!) We didn't use the bar, outdoor seating or garden, but the Kids Play area looked fun!

Beautiful hotel surrounded by farmland, extremely peaceful at night and we slept soundly in the large, comfortable bed. We only stayed one night during a road trip but would definitely return for longer, this hotel is perfect for a quiet weekend away. We ate at Rocky Bottoms on the coast in the evening but next time would try the hotel restaurant because the menu looked great, and the breakfast was excellent (loved the homemade marmalade). The staff were very warm & hospitable, we felt very welcome. The room was clean, cosy, and tastefully decorated in keeping with the period architecture. Superb value for money, we highly recommend a visit to The Saracen's Head.

Stayed here ,at Mount Lavinia for two nights.Easy, close parking. The room was just right- plenty of room, v.comfy bed , right amount of lights, sockets, T.v, two large comfortable arm chairs, tea, coffee, hairdryers, plenty of storage space- could even hide suitcases away! Nice clean bathroom, enough space, ledges , hooks etc. to settle things in! Breakfast downstairs, comfortable, plenty of choice - yoghurt, a few cereals, fresh fruit ,a choice of pastries, crumpet, buns, bread. And a lovely young girl Maya who was there to help, advise, chat. A very enjoyable stay, thankyou.
