I had a pleasant stay at the Holiday Inn Express London - Dartford. The check-in process was quick and efficient, and the staff were welcoming and professional. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, offering everything I needed for a short stay.
The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch, with a decent selection of options to start the day. I also appreciated the convenience of the location, which made it easy to access nearby areas.
Overall, it was a comfortable and hassle-free experience, and I would consider staying here again in the future.
This is the 4th time I've stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Folkestone, but the cost of this booking was hugely more than I've had to pay before. The hotel is fine, and the buffet breakfast is excellent, opening at 6am, allowing an early start on Le Shuttle.
We came to stay for four nights and ended up staying for 14… love it here. They have everything going on for every interest. It may not be be the flashiest or the poshest but the price is amazing and all the essentials are taken care of. Meals are really reasonable and are well presented.
The staff are super friendly and always happy to help. It feels like a happy holiday place. Don’t overlook this place thinking the price reflects quality… and to top it all off the hotel is opposite the most beautiful ha tv our where the sun rises every morning
Location was ideal, breakfast was great. Common areas and service was great, Ness took the time to recommend attractions and restaurants and was very polite. Rooms were clean and pleasant but would be better if they were bigger
The thing I loved is, it was very neat and good maintained room. But the heater wasn't working and while I had a complimentary breakfast offer, I wasn't given that cuz I had to leave by 7.45 while breakfast served only at 8am, (I really hoped if a provision was made, since we are paying definitely!) Well, the receptionist was kind to give a small heater which didn't really heat up that room but yes, something better than nothing. Cleanliness certainly deserves a bonus point, though. And it was close to Chatham station, also ubers are available, hence travel options were also good. Pretty nice hotels nearby.

The hotel was perfectly located on the seafront...not surprising considering its name! The room was clean and comfortable. I was given a kind and efficient welcome. I'm not keen on sharing bathroom facilities but for the price they were adequate. The decor was a little tired, but the service more than made up for this. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and plentiful.

GGuest UserIt's been quite a while since i last stayed at the Kings Arms... and this trip reminded me why!
There is very little choice of Hotels in the area, and Kings Arms is centrally located in Westerham with many decent Pubs and Restaurants in close proximity.
The Hotel had undergone a lot of fairly recent External Renovation and looks amazing from the outside... maybe one day they can progress to modernising the interior.
Bar Area and Restaurant areas are absolutely fine, and you cannot fault the friendliness and helpfulness of the Staff.
However, the journey upstairs with the threadbare carpet kinda lets you know what is instore for you inside the room.
On this most recent stay, the room itself was HUGE! I booked a deluxe Double. Massive Bed, and ample furniture.
Carpet threadbare in places and the Central Heating Radiator didn't work. A small Electric heater had been placed in the room, but due to the enormity of the size, it was inadequate to produce any real warmth in the room. Poor quality lighting.. but i thinks that made me by design!
The Bathroom was equally large, but similar to the room (and others i've stayed in previous) i suspect maybe the 1980's was the last time it had a facelift. It was adequate to take a wee, and clean my teeth.. but i could only imagine my wife's reaction to the sheer thought of taking a Bath in there!
It's such a shame really... perfect location to stay for either Business while working at Biggin Hill Airport, or for a weekend getaway with the wife.
However, if the latter... i would seriously advise to take a look across the road. You'll have a much happier wife!!
This could be an amazing hotel - but it sure does need a lot of work on the inside.

CChris J HornWhat an amazing hidden gem this is. Nestled on a hill top overlooking the marshes with Warehorn church over the road, this pub with rooms is a must for a romantic get away.
We arrived early and had a drink in the bar, which is beautifully quirky, a welcoming log fire burning and a wide selection of drinks.
We had booked ”Niddy” an attic room with so much to give, a comfy bed, roll top bath, and so much character.
The only ****** I had with the room, was the W.C squeezed into the roof space it was a little awkward to stand up and wee, but that's a small thing when it comes to such a great room.
Requesting a quiet table for dinner, we were given one in a side area and again we couldn't believe it, it was super romantic and we had the whole room to ourselves. Our waiter Muli was so good, he was attentive but not intruding, and so funny, we haven't had many meals out and he really did make the evening.
The food was excellent and the vegan burger was one of the best I have had.
The location was brilliant, if you're into walking, cycling, birdwatching or wanting to visit local sites (rye was only 20min drive away)
The rest of the staff were also brilliant, and couldn't do enough for us.
We will definitely return.
GGuest UserI live in a town so this was perfect for me. I arrived and was welcomed at reception by Chloe. She was amazing, happy, welcoming, chatty, down to Earth which was brilliant. The residents bar was lovely and quaint.Yes its an old style hotel but I love the old style seafront hotels, the decor in my room was abit too much(covered in parrots haha) but that was minor. The room itself was spacious for me,had everything it needed, was perfect for my stay. The bar they have in the basement, well what a night that was. Being served by Connor, and joining my new American friends who also stayed at the hotel,we had an absolute ball. Few too many but lovely cocktails and happy hour,I will say it was a hit aha. I don't have any faults at all with this hotel,it's cheap, cheerful and is perfect where it is overlooking the sea.No curfew coming in,free WiFi,very helpful when it came to asking for information. Couldn't of asked for a happier, more comforting hotel. I would recommend this hotel,a perfect old style seafront hotel,a view to dream about, everything within walking distance, amazing hospitality and care for the residents staying, and for what it costs,it most definately holds its value. Definately somewhere I would stay again xxx
GGuest UserThe hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. The location was difficult to find, but overall was a nice stay. Bonus that there was a whs 24hr market!
GGuest UserIt’s in a great location for all you want in a town. It has a cool vibe & a nice buzz.
I was welcomed warmly, but disappointed to discover at check-in my room was on the 5th floor & no lift! A disability prevents me from doing many stairs. I was offered an upgrade for an extra £20, so I paid. (In hindsight feel this is a common practice & felt a bit conned). I then found out I still had 2 flights of stairs to the first floor!! 😩
The room was spacious & tastefully decorated as you will see by the photos. A spare bed in the room, great for families. Nice coffee & tea facilities.
I found the room very cold, so told a member of staff & asked if the heating was coming on or what could they do, I never heard from anyone in response, so was very cold in the evening.
If you don’t like to be cold & lots of stairs are a problem don’t book.
If those are not a problem then it’s a characterful hotel, with a great restaurant. Just avoid being talked into an upgrade!!!
OOldhamA good one night stopover point at motorway services which have fast food outlets. On arriving i was allocated a room which absolutely stank of urine. However, after returning to Reception and explaining I was swiftly and courteously offered another room upgraded by way of apology. The Customer Service by the Reception Staff was excellent and the problem quickly resolved. The hotel room was very quiet and comfortable with secure parking nearby. Great for Business Travellers or one night.
GGuest UserGreat location, lovely walk around the lake and nearby woodlands. Staff are friendly and service is good. Rooms are outdated and could do with a lot of modernisation, unfortunately, is not even on par with some travelodges. Walls are hollow so can hear noise and voices from neighbouring rooms. Rooms are not sparkling clean, you will get what is expected of a 3 star hotel. Breakfast is just ok. Overall, if you’re looking for a stopover for the night and want to wake up to beautiful views then definitely book a room with a view and not the standard room which may end up overlooking the A2. We did however, book a lakeside room that was allocated on the second floor and the view was very nice indeed.
MMiahMoAside from a couple of issues Kelly, Caitlin and Marta meant this trip surpassed our expectations. From booking to departure nothing was too much trouble. With two young babies this makes all the difference. Spacious room, two cots, kids eat free, convenient parking. Location suited us with trips planned to Leeds castle and Port Lympne. Staff friendliness was great from all but especially Caitlin who was always on hand at dining times and helped with our girls. On site playground old but handy. Only minor issues were the early maintenance work / noise on our first morning, room servicing on first day and some confusion about late check out. All in all, highly recommend!
