A delightful surprise! I've book the hotel for one night transit through Shanghai. The way to the hotel could be better marked but it's easy to follow with even limited signs (hotel is in the middle between terminal 1 & 2 and you can get to it from both floors). The check in was very quick, lady in the reception spoke good English and was very polite. I've prepaid for the room online so they didn't need a deposit. She gave me a room key and showed the way to the lifts. Everything is clearly marked and the room was easy to find. The room was a lot bigger than I expected (I stayed in the south wing, in a standard room on the fifth floor). It was very clean and had more amenities than some of the more expensive hotels in the area (tea, slippers, shower gel, shampoo and a separate conditioner were all provided). The air-conditioning took few minutes to cool down the room and it was on a louder side but it worked perfectly well. The only thing is - they don't have international plugs, so either have your adaptor or a full power bank for the night! The whole experience was lovely. In the morning the check out was very quick as well. If you are transiting through Shanghai I would recommend a stay!

Value for money due to it great location, very near metro station and it in the middle of Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. The hotel do not own the whole building instead it is just one of the few accommodation operator sharing this long stretched building. Paid CNY38 per pax for breakfast which is not worth it, limited items to choose from and doesn’t taste good.

This hotel is my least favorite after travelling around china for 10 months. Although the location is pretty nice, but other points I would give it a minus. As we had two stays at this hotel (we went to another city for one night), I'm going to review it in two posts with the same content. Room interior: 3/10 - I'm so glad that I stayed at this hotel with my closest friend, and not family. It would be so awkward if I were to take a bath and my parents can see me through the glass. Yes it's not that clear, but you will definitely see each other's body. We had to turn back when we took a shower, and it's super uncomfortable. You also have to hang your clothes and towel outside the shower room door as well - The control button panel is very confusing. I don't mind most of it but the 'open the door' button. I find it's very dangerous when I just want to turn off all lights but open the door instead - Soundproofing was not that good. As we stayed at lobby floor, we always heard - The room interior on my second stay was very poor. It's smaller than the first and the window was super small like there's none. Amenities 3/10 - There is nothing such 'smart toilet'. It's very normal, so I'm pretty disappointed cuz it's one criteria I chose this hotel (my friend came from japan, and I especially chose this for her) - No bathrobe as listed (again, for my friend, she usually uses bathrobe as pajamas in japan and didn't take pajamas with her on this trip. We had a busy time finding new pajamas) - No soft drinks as listed - No guest laundry as listed Cleanliness: standard 10/10 (just look vintage, but no dusts) Luggage storage SAFETY: 3/10 I don't mind when we had to take our luggage to the storeroom by ourselves, but no one cared when we took them back. They didn't pay attention on which bags I took at all. We can just give them our luggage storage tag and go to take ours directly, without checking Front desk: 7/10 - the first stay was normal. They can speak some english. Their services was normal - On my second stay, the front desk guy who I didn't see during first stay was super super friendly and full of service mind. He was very nice and smiley while helping me register and helped me talking to the food delivery rider. The other was not bad. Location 9/10 - right on East Nanjing road - ~5 min walk to both east nanjing road and ppl square metros - It's a bit tiring to go back from the bund, but not that bad for people's in 20s

Very convenient location. On a street that always has bikes, very close to Nanjing West station. Reception service is amazing and people are very nice. Clean and good amenities. Price to performance ratio is good, especially for the higher prices in Shanghai. Will come here again the next time I visit.

The room was really nice, it had a Mickey Mouse theme which made it a lot more aesthetically pleasing, especially for family with children. It was spacious and huge as well. I will definitely recommend travelers to stay at this hotel. The staffs there were really helpful and friendly. The location is pretty near Pudong International Airport and the hotel provides free shuttle bus to and pro from Pudong International Airport and Shanghai Disneyland. 5 stars from me!!

This is the first time came to Shanghai. The room of Ji Hotel is bigger and comfortable (This is a good thing). A room is clean.The facility is good but there are no safe and refrigerator. I have some problems with the reception in the front who is a man talking me on day1 at there should be improving your personality and service.When you talk with customer should be polite a little. I can speak Chinese a little bit doesn’t mean i can listen you all of sentences. I have 2 booking on trip.com. I just wanna know should have to change to room or not ! But why you said 没有订单就没房间了。Hayy guys. I have booking already. But you hadn't even look at my booking before . I just talk with another receptionist about my question. It’s none of your business. However the house keeper is so friendly and kindness . She made my day happier .

The location is a big plus as it is near metro and also the hotel is at Nanjing Road, People’s Square, close to The Bund and other places. My itinerary started around 2pm. I arrived Shanghai at 11am from Pudong Airport. ＞ Nanjing Road ＞ The Bund ＞ Yu Yuan Garden ＞ Shanghai Old Town Then went back to roam around. Found Cathedrals along the way (not sure of the names) ＞ Around 7pm I joined the Tour Bus which is 40RMB for 40minutes and will take you to the other side where the Shanghai Tower and Oriental Pearl Tower located. You can see them upclose. The receptionist was helpful on my checked-out day as she helped me to call a taxi to my next destination. The only downside of this hotel is the cleanliness of the room and corridor. I found a hair on my bed, even inside the duvet. Under the table was so dusty. Toothpick at the corridor. Which I believe can improve next time. :) All in all. It’s a great hotel and great location.

The hostel exceeded my expectations. Could not relate to the bad reviews about permanent residents dirtying up the place. I didn't encounter any of them. But I did stay in winter, so maybe there were less people. The common area is huge and comfortable. There's a water dispenser in the common area, and also a large collection of beer and drinks. The room can be a little small, but it's sufficient. I've stayed in worse places. The locations is also perfect. Just a stone's throw away from Nanjing Road, and 5 min walk from People's Square station. I see no reason why I would not stay here again.

Contacting the hotel was remarkably easy which made airport pickup seamless. The airport shuttle driver got us to our destination safely ans stayed while guests checked in. The room was cozy with adequate space for large suitcases. The hotel is conveniently located a short walk from the subway entrance which makes for a quick trip into the city. Totally recommend!
