"The biggest surprise of my trip to Zhongwei was staying at the Xiang Tengger Desert Hotel. Deep in the Tengger Desert, far from the hustle and bustle, the dedicated shuttle service made check-in hassle-free, saving us the trouble of driving into the sand ourselves. The rooms were clean and dry, which is quite rare for a desert environment, and the facilities exceeded our expectations. During the day, we enjoyed playing on the sand dunes, with plenty of activities like sandboarding and other desert adventures that kept the kids entertained. In the evening, we waited for the stunning desert sunset, and after dark, there was a bonfire party and fireworks. Looking up, we could see the brilliant Milky Way – the atmosphere was absolutely incredible. The staff were warm and attentive, quickly resolving any issues we had. Overall, it perfectly blended wilderness adventure with comfort, making it ideal for a family trip. If I ever return to the Zhongwei desert, I'll definitely stay here again."

"The winery's red wine series is named after the 'Feng Ya Song' of the Book of Songs, and has won many awards. The owner started planting grapes, mainly Cabernet Sauvignon, in 2015. It's said to be the world's second Bordeaux region. The front desk staff were very welcoming and gave us a detailed tour of the vineyard and winery, which left a deep impression. You can really see the owner's dedication; the entire hotel is very well-maintained and fully equipped. My friends and I have planned to come back in September when the grapes ripen to help with the harvest, enjoy the joy of the bounty, and perhaps even earn some room fees."

"We stayed here for a one-night stay in the desert with our kids, and it was only a little over 100 yuan – a great deal! The receptionist was very nice; we arrived around 11 pm and they upgraded us since there were rooms available. There are many vendors selling selenium-rich watermelons near the entrance (local drivers said 10 yuan each, 15 yuan for two; I bought mine at the night market for 1.5 yuan per jin). There's a lamb restaurant to the right outside; their hand-pulled lamb is good, but the barbecue is not. A taxi from the train station costs 6 yuan (there will be touts along the way, but it's a local custom; you get used to it). A taxi to Jinshahai costs 50 yuan (the closest and most affordable place to do desert activities in Zhongwei). We'll definitely come back next time!"

Good value for money, friendly, helpful night staff, no language problem, easy and trouble free foreign friendly. The feedback is based on my room and my overall experience. The room was very clean, newish super clear, bright lights bathroom, with very nice shower. The beds are a bit hard but nothing major, very quite, small but manageable parking space, despite my car being a big. It was one night experience, short but pleasant with lots of food option but the front doors of the hotel. Which very convenient. Definitely recommend unfortunately, I forgot to take some pictures. ThumbsUp 👍

Located within the Xinheng Winery, the guesthouse is named after the owners, a name that evokes a sense of marital bliss.
【Guesthouse】The guesthouse facilities are excellent. The air conditioning is very comfortable, and the bathroom features a separate shower and toilet. Aesthetic design and thoughtful details are evident throughout. I especially loved the view from the large windows of the flowerbeds and succulents; the vegetation was lush and vibrant. There were also footstools and air purifiers. The manager mentioned that the guesthouse was established in May 2023. Located away from the city center, it's a perfect place to relax and rejuvenate.
【Wine Cellar Tour & Wine Tasting & DIY Wine Making Activities】These three activities are complimentary for guests. In addition to a complimentary bottle of welcome wine, guests can take home their homemade wine and even design their own cute labels. The wine selection is extensive, including both dry red and dry white wines, and one that particularly impressed me was the Horse Rosé, a sweet, dry rosé.
[Harvesting Activities] Guests can pick their own fruit for free. This season offers a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, including corn, green beans, cherry tomatoes, tomatoes, eggplants, green peppers, and cucumbers. The selection is excellent, making it especially suitable for family trips.

This is a good modern hotel that provides comfortable accommodations. The breakfast bar is great, and the hotel location provides easy access (by Didi or taxi) to the train and bus stations, as well as Guyuan's outstanding museum.
Only problems were having to overcome receiving two room key cards (one of which stopped working after a day), problem with the standard wifi authorization (room number and name). The night latch was broken/ non-functional. That wasn't a big problem, but reveals poor attention to facility maintenance/repair.
An oddity was that each elevator ride was punctuated by a loud noise that sounded like a dog's bark. I'm not sure what that noise reveals about the elevator mechanism.
All options taken into account, I'd definitely consider staying in this hotel on any future visit to Guyuan.

Service: Special praise goes to all the hotel staff. All staff members were warm, friendly, and attentive to detail. I was extremely satisfied with my stay! I will definitely come back next time!

Guest UserA very artistic homestay with a very tasteful decoration style. Every decoration is just right, and even the breakfast is so exquisite. There were only two breakfasts originally, but we brought children with us, so the boss made a special breakfast for children, which was so thoughtful! There is also a beautiful souvenir. Although it was opened in 2018, the whole homestay does not seem to be old, and it is still as new. It is a great experience. I recommend it to friends!

Guest UserThe room was cleaned and the bedding was soft. People like me who recognize the bed sleep super fragrantly. I will stay here next time.
I felt comfortable from the beginning of the door, the front desk spoke softly and softly, and there was no cold alienation at all. The room space is much larger than expected, the sound insulation is particularly good, the bathroom is dry and wet separation is in place, the spare parts smell very good, and two bottles of local mineral water were sent when checking out. The details are too intimate and must be given full marks!
