Holiday Inn Express & Suites Nassau

The Holiday Inn Express is perfect for people who want a clean and comfortable accommodation without staying at an ”all-inclusive” resort. The Bahamian culture and the Nassau area are so beautiful, and it would be a shame to lock yourself into a sealed resort where you don't really interact with locals. Service here was fantastic -- my air conditioner was misbehaving a bit on the first day, and I asked someone to come take a look, and instead they upgraded me to a larger room to make sure they had time to look at the a/c and that I didn't spend a moment being uncomfortable, which was above and beyond my expectations. They have a really tasty hot breakfast, and their snack selection, available 24 hours a day to be picked up at reception and billed to your room, is broad and includes even full microwave meals (for when you're hungry at 3am on an island with very to no overnight food places available). The prices are very, very reasonable, as well -- after snacking pretty consistently throughout my seven-day stay, I expected my snack and beer bill to get a little crazy, but it turned out to be about $20 after I ate and drank well over $20 worth of stuff. It's easy to walk to downtown and shop, book tours, etc. from here, and the beach is right across the street. The Fish Fry at Arawak Cay is a 5-10 minute walk away as well. Most of what I wanted to see and do was an easy commute on foot, and cabs to and from the hotel were reasonably priced, when I was way too tired. Plus, the #10 city bus runs right past it. I would definitely recommend this place to travelers who are pretty independent in a new location, but also like comfort and great service. It was the perfect balance for me.

The only thing that i really enjoyed it’s the kindness from the dining room attendant.

Overall it is not worth 2k, but the hotels on the island are expensive, checkin is very slow, the efficiency of local people is too low, the scenery is average, because downstairs can see more beautiful sea views, the swimming pool is a bit old, not too big. For service, fortunately, the hotel helped to retrieve the blanket. The neighborhood is quite lively and the location is good. The picture is for your reference. It is a sea view room. The outside view is better than that of a hotel. The phone has a little filter.

These are very small apartments, but nevertheless quite comfortable for spending a few days in Nassau if you are passing through. Quiet area. Shops and fast food cafes are a 10-15 minute walk away. It will be much more convenient for your stay if you have a rented car. There is plenty of parking space for him right in front of the house. Large bathroom with shower and washbasin. The kitchen is equipped, there are pots and pans and a capsule coffee machine, which can also be used for brewing tea bags. Coffee, tea, dishwashing and hand washing liquid - everything is also available. Impeccable cleanliness everywhere inside the house. There is a small green lawn in the backyard, but it is not equipped for recreation. What’s unexpected is that there is no table in the house for eating, but there are two folding tables for a mobile computer that can be converted into dining tables. There is very little space in the living room and you will have to be careful not to knock over anything. The bed needs repair or replacement. The mattress, although a little narrow for two adults of average build, is of good quality. But the bed frame itself has long been in need of replacement or repair. The hostess will find you by phone in advance and leave the necessary and clear instructions on how to find and get into the house. And also organizes a meeting and seeing off, if necessary. And although we briefly and inattentively read the reviews, we made a mistake in choosing the area and apartments; we wanted a busier place and more spacious conditions inside, but all the inconveniences were compensated by concern for our comfort! Bottom line. Housing is more suitable for students or single travelers with a rented car at their disposal, accustomed to the American way of life. Outstanding hospitality will be a great bonus!

It was a very nice experience. It is a little far from the city center, but it was no problem and can be easily reached by taxi or bus. It was a very enjoyable holiday with the ocean right in front of the hotel.
