Holiday Inn Express Rosario
4.4/541 Reviews
The lobby is nice and spacious with free drinks. The rooms are relatively ordinary, which is a typical Holiday Inn Express. The three rooms should have been prepaid, but when they left, the front desk charged 5,485.68 Argentine pesos, or US$144.36.

Try and avoid this one if you can. Not sure how it’s a 4 star, unless it was self-graded. It’s up there as one of the most depressing hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The reception isn’t too bad (although efficient, the staff look like they’d rather be anywhere else). However, then you get in the lift, both of which look like they’re falling apart and worryingly can apparently can only hold 3 people, although both seem to shoot up and down quickly enough when you’re in it. Not that you should be in a rush to go to your room, unless you’re a fan of beige furniture from the UK in the 1960’s and joinery that seemingly hasn’t been touched up since then either. The Wi-Fi tends to switch between either being very slow or not working at all, despite there being 8 or 9 separate networks to connect to. I think expecting Wi-Fi to work in hotel that is like being in a time capsule is asking a bit much though. I was able to check in early after a long coach ride, and also thought the bed was ok, hence the 2 star. If you do stay here, use the super-quick lift to get out the hotel and explore the city, which is lovely for a 2-day stay. Alternatively, whilst I’ve been in Rosario, I’ve found out that Airbnb’s are much cheaper and nicer. It’s too late for me unfortunately, but if you’re thinking of coming here, do that instead.
Apart Hotel Alvear

The location, parallel to Oroño, is excellent. Breakfast rich and varied. The price per car was agreed. It is a historic hotel, for many years, they keep it relatively well. The room and bed were comfortable. It's a little expensive (well ... all hotels in Argentina have gone through the clouds!!) You don't want to drink any drink from the refrigerator because they kill you. I had problems with my room key, always stuck to open to enter, they had no duplicate, the young person at the admission told me it was the door swelled, so good ... and with that? The problem persisted so I hope you lift it or make lock fix so that other passengers do not pass the same.
