Things to do in Yixing

Yaohu Town is picturesque, surrounded by bamboo forests, exuding the poetic charm of Jiangnan. A miniature train winds its way through the woods. With its rich ceramic culture, every step reveals a new vista, offering a tranquil and romantic escape – a perfect place for relaxation and a vacation.

A spring outing to the Yixing Bamboo Sea begins with a stunning water feature. The wooden gate paired with a shallow pool creates a captivating atmosphere. Along the stream, magnolias bloom vibrantly, their white petals contrasting beautifully with the distant mountains and ancient pavilions. A cable car ride gently ascends, offering breathtaking views of the vast bamboo forest stretching as far as the eye can see, a continuous expanse of green. Walking along the stone-paved mountain path into the heart of the bamboo forest, towering bamboo provides ample shade. The only sound is the rustling of the wind through the leaves, the air fresh and moist. A leisurely hike through the lush greenery is a soothing escape from the hustle and bustle, perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway.

The environment is so-so, but it's quite fun. Han Meilin's design, in particular, is very trendy and interesting. The history museum teaches you about the development history and knowledge of Yixing ceramics, and introduces some famous figures. While ceramics aren't as popular now, some of their names still ring a bell, like Gu Jingzhou. Tickets are only 5 yuan, and parking is free, so it's definitely worth a visit.

Overall, it was a good experience. Strolling through Shanjuan Cave in a light drizzle had a unique charm. I visited more than 30 years ago, and this time I found it had changed a lot. The scenic area is well-developed, and the paths are much easier to navigate. The only thing I think needs improvement is Luoyan Mountain, which you can take the cable car up to. There's not much to see on the mountain, mainly just a small pavilion. It would be better if there were more attractions to visit.

The scenery inside the cave is mostly man-made and just average. This scenic area is more suitable for family trips with children. For example, adults are not very interested in rafting and boating, but children can enjoy them. If you want to explore the entire cave, you need to climb a mountain, and the steps are quite steep. I don't recommend bringing elderly people with mobility issues or infants.

Bringing the kids to Nianhua Bay is a great experience; the Zen-inspired town atmosphere is amazing! During the day, the waterways and bridges are tranquil and elegant, while the light show and performances at night are particularly stunning, much to the children's delight. A leisurely stroll is very soothing, and the night view is definitely a highlight – a must-visit for a family trip!

蜀山古南街，这样逛体验感最好|||整条街不长，建筑很有江南水乡的风格和花岗石的地面相呼应很古朴。整条街上都是大大小小的店铺，里面各式各样的紫砂壶、紫砂杯、紫砂茶宠摆件……还有的匠人正在制作这紫砂作品，满满的匠心匠艺。如果你想淘一件称心如意的紫砂作品，这里是一个不错的选择。这里咖啡店小吃店都蛮多的，环境不错，兜累了随便找一家就可以坐着。很惬意。喜欢DIY的，有兴趣可以自己做一个紫砂作品，零基础的建议做一个品茗杯吧，1小时就可以完成，价格大概120元左右。如果想要挑战一下可以做一把茶壶，不过制作时间是按照小时为单位计算的呢，个人感觉性价比不高，但体检感拉满。具体看预算！哈哈哈这里拍照很出片哦，想要拍照的可以早点去，或者晚点走，等人少一点。更喜欢雨后的古街，多了一份宁静致远的感觉。这里的停车场都是免费的哈！

A day trip to Yixing Pottery Ancestor Sacred Site was a wonderful experience. The karst cave was incredibly relaxing and cool. The bamboo walkway offered panoramic views of the bamboo forest, the boat ride was a favorite with the kids, and there were also pottery workshops. Overall, the trip was packed with activities and I was very satisfied.

Excellent! The uncle was very friendly, and the breakfast he made was delicious. The location was very close to the Big Buddha. Coming back was also very convenient. A very pleasant experience, I would stay there again next time.
