Dujiangyan Scenic Area
The Dujiangyan Irrigation System is located along the main branch of the Lancang River, west of Dujiangyan City. It was constructed in the Qin dynasty around 256 BC by Li Bing, Prefecture Chief of Shu County, and his son. It is one of the few ancient Chinese water conservancy projects that has remained preserved and intact. The project consists of three primary works—Yuzui Diverting Embankment, the Feishayan Spillway, and the Baopingkou Water Inlet, and two secondary works which include the Baizhangdi (the thousand-feet dam) and Renzidi (the y-shaped dam). They divide the Yongjiang River into an outer and an inner branch, the former of which is used to divert floods and the latter for irrigation. Mount Qingcheng
Mount Qingcheng has long been praised as "Tranquil Paradise under Heaven," with its peaks encircling like city walls—hence the name. Legend says Zhang Daoling of the Eastern Han dynasty established Taoism here in a thatched hut, making it the ancestral home of Celestial Master Taoism, where temple incense still burns today. The mountain divides into front and back sections: the front features Taoist temples and cultural relics, commonly referred to as "Mount Qingcheng" by most travelers; the back excels in natural landscapes like pools, waterfalls, streams, and gorges, making it ideal for hiking and summer retreats. The highlights of Qianshan are concentrated. Starting from Jianfu Palace beside the mountain gate, follow the ancient stone steps upward past Natural Picture, Tianshi Cave, Chaoyang Cave, and Shangqing Palace, with the summit's Laojun Pavilion as the final vantage point. Tianshi Cave, also called Changdao Temple, is one of the mountain's largest Taoist complexes—its front courtyard holds a millennium-old ginkgo tree allegedly planted by Zhang Daoling, while the cliffside Ink-throwing Trough behind is said to be where the celestial master drew mountains with vermilion ink. Painting master Zhang Daqian once resided at Shangqing Palace, styling himself "Guest of Qingcheng." At the mountain's base, Yuecheng Lake's mirror-like waters add ethereal beauty to the lush greenery. The rear mountain entrance is the quaint Tai'an ancient town. From here, the trails connect Wulong gully and Feiquan gully into a loop, with views like Misty spring triple pools, Double spring water curtain cave, and Hundred-zhang long bridge accompanied by the sounds of water and shaded woods. The Longyin gorge walkway built along cliffs overlooks rushing streams below, making it a dedicated hiking route. The mountain stays pleasantly cool even in midsummer. The front mountain and back mountain entrances are not connected, usually requiring separate itineraries. Most 1-day tours choose one of the two. The front mountain's main temples can be visited in half a day, while the back mountain loop is longer and requires reserving most of a day. Chengdu Du Fu Thatched Cottage Museum
Du Fu Thatched Cottage is the former Chengdu residence of the famous Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu. Du Fu lived here for nearly four years. During his stay, he created hundreds of poems. This place is thus regarded as the “holy land” of Chinese literature. Today's Du Fu Thatched Cottage has survived multiple dynasties and been restored many times. The most important architecture of the place is his former residence, the thatched house. Sanxingdui Museum

Shede is the best-designed guided tour among the wineries I've visited so far. The layout is well-planned; you barely need to walk outdoors, there are various shuttle buses, and interactive tastings are available.
We arrived at 12:50 PM according to the website's opening hours, only to be told there was a guided tour at 1:20 PM. So arriving early was pointless.
The recommended tour order is: 1. Modern production workshop; 2. Tai'an workshop; 3. Fangzun wine castle; 4. Factory storage tanks; 5. Golden Valley 312 koji-making garden.
The entire tour takes about an hour.
Shede's six-grain strong-aroma liquor has a pleasant sweetness on the palate, a rich aroma in the mid-palate, well-developed grain notes, a long finish, and a clean body. It truly lives up to its reputation as one of the "Six Golden Flowers" of Sichuan liquor.

The scenic area comprises Jinhua Mountain Taoist Temple, Chen Zi'ang's Study Platform, and Jinhua Ancient Town, with the core area including the ruins of Chen Zi'ang's former residence on Wudong Mountain. It is situated on the west bank of the middle reaches of the Fujiang River, extending from the Jinhua Electric Navigation Bridge in the south to the border of Xiangshan Town in the north, and bounded by the mountain ridges on both sides of the Fujiang River to the east and west.

Chengdu Panda Base — a must-visit in Chengdu. A large green territory, pandas up close and in naturalistic enclosures: both adults and cubs in the nursery. Best to arrive right at opening — the animals are more active and there are fewer people. There's a café and a souvenir shop. Allow at least half a day.

This attraction is relatively small during the National Day trip, so it is not crowded. It is mainly the petrified wood fossils of the dinosaur habitat. There is no food scattered outside, and there is nothing for sale inside. It is recommended to bring your own dry food and water. The air is good and you can walk around.

A fantastic guided tour experience in Dujiangyan. Ms. Baihe from Shurenshuo explained things clearly and simply, making the principles of water conservancy and historical anecdotes vivid and engaging; I listened with great interest. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and considerate, thoughtfully reminding me to be careful when going down stairs and crossing suspension bridges. Qingcheng Mountain is beautiful, but I really want to complain about the facilities. You can't take the sightseeing bus from the mountain gate; you have to walk a bit further to get there. Also, for the first time, there was a place that wasn't very big, yet they had sightseeing buses, boats, and cable cars—everything was carried by hand—which was quite strange.

First things first: if you enjoy journaling or collecting stamps, definitely bring your journal with you, there's many to collect ! I think it's best to try visit on a misty day, that's where the magic truly comes out. It's okay on a sunny day as well, but make sure to go at a time or day where not as many visitors are crowding the place. The scenery is great and i wish they had translations or meanings of the poems/drawings next to them, i truly wanted to understand. Unfortunately translators are no help with poems.

The Sanxingdui Museum is definitely worth a visit! It's very convenient to get there by high-speed rail, with direct connections to Shuangliu Airport and Huanglong and Jiuzhaigou. The guide, Lin Shanshan, gave a wonderful three-hour tour; her explanations were professional, detailed, and engaging. Thank you for your hard work!

I set off from Baoguo Temple Service Center at 7:00 AM, took a 2-hour bus ride to Leidongping, and then hiked to the Golden Summit. I didn't take the cable car; it took about an hour to reach the summit. It was foggy that day, so I couldn't see the Buddha statues clearly. I started my descent around 1:00 PM. I saw a few monkeys in the distance. After getting off the cable car, I took another bus to Wannian Temple. The bus pass allows for two hops on and off. When I arrived at Wannian Temple, I saw the Wuliang Hall, which is even older than the Golden Summit. I took the last bus down the mountain at 6:00 PM.
