Zeng Guofan's Former Residence is located in Heye Town. The existing core building complex is Fu Hou Tang, also known as Yi Yong Hou Di. It is a marquis mansion built after Zeng Guofan was ennobled, with construction overseen by his younger brothers, Zeng Guohuang and Zeng Guoquan. The entire mansion covers an area of over 40,000 square meters, with a building area of nearly 10,000 square meters. It features a structure of earth, stone, brick, and wood, connected by corridors and symmetrically laid out along the central axis. Although built to the scale of a marquis's mansion, it was not located in a bustling city center but hidden in the countryside, with "mountains behind the house and a pond in front of the hall," and is known as a well-preserved rural marquis mansion. Behind the residence, Aoyu Mountain curves around the mansion in a half-moon shape, with towering ancient trees. In front of the hall, the Half-Moon Pond is filled with lotus leaves, and the vertical plaque on the gate tower, inscribed with "Yi Yong Hou Di" in gold characters on a red background, is particularly striking. The essence of the residence is concentrated inBaben Halland several libraries. The main hall,Baben Hall, is named after Zeng Guofan's "Eight Fundamentals" family motto, with dozens of characters condensing his insights on scholarship, family management, official duties, and military leadership. Libraries such as Qiuque Study, Guipu Study, and Yifang Hall house the books of Zeng Guofan and his eldest son, Zeng Jize, and second son, Zeng Jihong, respectively, with about 300,000 volumes of various books, making it one of the larger private libraries in modern China. To the south of the residence is Siyun Hall, a small building that Zeng Guofan personally supervised and named when he returned home to observe mourning in the 7th year of the Xianfeng reign. Jiyuan is the garden within the residence, which, along with the pavilions on the hill behind, adds a touch of garden scenery to this scholarly mansion.Shuangfeng · 28.9km from downtown

Boyuedong Scenic Area is a comprehensive park with underground karst cave landscape as the main body and ground attractions as the foil. Surrounding it are Dachengshan Forest Park, waterfalls and Tin Mine Mountain, known as the world's antimony capital, and other scenic Attraction. It is a scenic spot integrating mountain sightseeing, cave viewing, waterfall viewing and karst research. It is located in the northern suburbs of Lengshuijiang City, Hunan Province, 3.8 kilometers away from the city center. Boyuedong is divided into three layers, with more than 1,800 meters of underground tour routes, 27 halls, 81 scenic spots, and a total area of more than 40,000 square meters. The cave is generally 3-10 meters high and more than 20 meters high, and the cave is generally 5-10 meters wide and more than 70 meters wide. The entire cave is centered on the maze hall. The front cave hall is broad and magnificent, and the rear cave hall has dense lines and is crystal clear. Thousands of pillars stand upright in the cave, and thousands of skirts hang upside down. Mountains, fields, waterfalls, stone pillars, stone curtains, and stalactites are everywhere. Every step is a scene, and every step is a scene, and every scene is magical. There are three kinds of karst cave treasures in the cave that have attracted the world's admiration: the first is a 1.1-meter-long hollow crystal clear goose pipe, which is 44 centimeters longer than the karst cave goose pipe that was previously known as the world's largest; the second is a 1.98-meter-high giant stone dam, which is 50 centimeters higher than the world's largest karst stone dam in Yugoslavia; the third is a 1.5-meter-deep network stone trough hanging upside down on the top, which is currently the deepest hanging top geotrough in the world. The Water Curtain Cave and the Palace of the White Bone Demon in the TV series "Journey to the West" were both filmed in this cave. When a well-known domestic scholar visited the cave, he wrote: "Boyue Cave is a culmination of other cave karst landscapes. In addition to stalactites, it has almost all stalactite-type sediments of the same type, which are huge in scale, diverse in variety, varied in form, complex in combination, and colorful and bright in color. The multi-period of stalactites and stalagmites, the disparity in the size of deep deposits, and the density of development are all rare in other karst caves." When experts from the Institute of Geology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Guilin Karst Research Institute of the Ministry of Geology, and all over the country came to inspect and identify it, they believed that "it is an underground cave museum that is rare in China and rare in the world, with high tourism and scientific value, and is at the forefront of my country's currently developed tourist caves."Lengshuijiang · 3.1km from downtown

I'd heard so much about the Ziquejie Terraced Fields in Xinhua, and after visiting three viewing platforms, I can confirm the scenery was quite beautiful! The area was very cool; as long as you weren't in direct sunlight, it was very comfortable. The guesthouses were also very rustic, serving authentic local cuisine with excellent ingredients, though the cooking techniques could use some improvement. I highly recommend the locally grown mini kiwis—about the size of a thumb, hairless, and incredibly sweet! Villagers sell them by the roadside for 20 yuan a box, which is fantastic! Unfortunately, everyone loved them so much that we didn't have time to take pictures before they were all gone.

The scenic spot is relatively remote, about 20 minutes drive from the highway. The supporting facilities are average, and the government has not developed and protected it well. But when I entered the house, I felt quite shocked. A long strip of building over 150 meters appeared in front of me, which was completely different from the Jiangnan courtyard or the Beijing courtyard layout. The birthplace Baiyutang is still a 15-minute drive from the main scenic spot, and it feels like it has just been developed. The road to the scenic spot is narrow, and the parking lot is paved with stones.

Although there was some light rain before the summit, we were still very happy. We drove to the summit, which was only 200 meters away. The heavy rain and dark clouds made us dare not go there. We left with regrets, but we will find another opportunity. The misty village at the foot of the mountain is another realm.

The Moon-Lanyue Ancient Road is 6.5 kilometers long. The Ten-Li Painting Wall is worthy of its reputation. It is worth walking up and down. It is called Little Guilin and has beautiful natural scenery. The 128 yuan package ticket allowed us to drive to Semei Lake and walk through the entire Xianren Cave (the tourists behind us suggested walking to the Xianren Bridge and returning along the original route, because the scenic area needs to be developed and improved. It is easy to continue walking out. The 800-meter distance to the shuttle bus stop is too sunny. There is no shade at all, which makes people walk painfully. It is really hot in summer vacation), climb up and down the mountain to complete the 13-li cliffside Moon-Lanyue Ancient Road, and go to the Geological Museum. The ticket price is super value. (Including the price of Xianglu Mountain, but we didn’t climb it because we didn’t have enough time. It is a scenic spot that can be abandoned) In addition, the boat ride costs another 40 yuan, which we didn’t experience.

Boyue Cave is known as the "World Karst Museum". The karst landscapes in the cave, such as stone pillars, stone curtains, and stalactites, are varied. It also has three "world's bests", namely a 1.38-meter-long goose pipe, a 1.98-meter-high stone dam, and a 1.68-meter-deep hanging stone trough, which are of great ornamental and scientific research value.

Loudi Museum, founded in 1994, covers an area of 3,400 square meters and houses thousands of cultural relics, many of which are precious. There are two basic exhibitions, namely the "Cheng Fangwu Memorial Room" and the "Loudi Celebrities Exhibition Room". The "Cheng Fangwu Memorial Room" focuses on the glorious and meritorious life of Mr. Cheng Fangwu, a great proletarian revolutionary, writer, educator and social activist. It has now become an important base for Hunan University of Humanities, Science and Technology to study Cheng Fangwu's literature and educational thoughts.
