Balihe Tourist Area, a 5A-level scenic area, is located in Yingshang County, Fuyang. It's a combination of natural water town landscapes and man-made miniature landscapes. Logically, to be rated a national 5A-level scenic area, it should possess unique cultural or natural attractions; its "Number One Farmer's Park in the World" is probably its unique selling point.
The scenic area consists of a Bird Park (children's playground), a West Zone (world miniature landscapes) (Figure 1), an East Zone (Chinese miniature landscapes) (Figure 2), and twelve flower islands in the lake (Figure 3).
We skipped the Bird Park and took the scenic shuttle bus directly to the deepest part, visiting the East Zone first, then the West Zone.
In the East Zone, there's a Chinese garden in the Scroll Stone Cave (Figures 4-5), the Zen Buddhist landscape Guanyin Mountain (Figure 6), the Seven Treasures Tathagata Pagoda walkway (Figure 7), the Five Pavilion Bridge modeled after Yangzhou's Slender West Lake, and an elevated glass walkway connecting the East and West Zones (Figure 8), perfect for leisurely exploration.
The West End features "World Scenery," including a miniature version of the Sacred Heart Cathedral, the Temple of Zeus, the Arc de Triomphe, and the Grand Canyon.
