First, we recommend installing the eSIM in advance in a location with a Wi-Fi connection. Did a 25 day trip to Indonesia, so this 25 day plan fitted perfectly. On arrival, the ESim connected seamlessly and I had good coverage during our 25 day road trip to Bandung, Pangandaran , Dieng, Magelang, Yogjakarta, Solo, Lasem, Rembang, Kudus and Jakarta. Even in some of the smaller towns, the reception was good. It uses the Telcomsel network. While driving from city to city, I was pleasantly surprised that I had good reception. Essentially on a 5G network most of the time. The 2GB allowance daily was more than adequate. Price was reasonable, service was reliable.

A good SIM card, it worked flawlessly in Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara, and Kamakura. During large crowds, like the summer fireworks festival, the SIM card would die; I had to leave the crowd and everything would come back to life.
