Reviews: Kyoto and Nara Day Tour │ Kiyomizu-dera Temple + Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine + Nara Park

The whole trip was very relaxing. Hotel pick-up and drop-off were provided, and I was lucky enough to be picked up by the last company in line, at 8:25 AM, so I could sleep in a bit. I visited Nara Park, Fushimi Inari Shrine, and Kiyomizu-dera Temple—a very fulfilling day. The itinerary wasn't rushed, and I had plenty of time to visit Todai-ji Temple. I also enjoyed strolling around the area around Kiyomizu-dera. The driver/guide was very helpful with directions. It was great value for money—saving time and allowing me to have a great time.
Reviews: [Guaranteed Departure] Kyoto Fushimi Inari Taisha + Arashiyama + Kinkaku-ji + Nara Park 1-day Tour

Both locations are classic photo spots in the Kansai region, but with completely different styles and experiences: Kinkaku-ji (Rokuon-ji): Emphasizing ultimate Japanese aesthetics and breathtaking visuals. Sunlight shines on the gold-leaf-covered Shariden (relic hall), reflecting in the Mirror Pond, creating a beautiful and dignified scene, perfect for taking photos and experiencing the Zen atmosphere. Nara Park: Focusing on natural scenery and highly interactive experiences. Besides visiting the imposing Great Buddha of Todai-ji, the most attractive feature is the abundance of wild deer. Buying a bag of deer crackers and interacting with them is a very therapeutic and fun experience.

I usually travel independently, but since I felt I should visit Kyoto and Nara during my Osaka trip, I booked a one-day bus tour. The conclusion is that it was an excellent choice. Since the bus covered the major tourist attractions quickly, I saved time and was able to see the key sights. I was also lucky enough to meet Guide Oh Seok-bong, and we made some fulfilling and enjoyable memories. Along with detailed explanations of Japanese culture and handy sightseeing tips—especially links to great restaurants in the core Namba area and information on what locals actually buy at convenience stores—he provided such detailed information that it felt like I had spent several days sightseeing, which was incredibly helpful for my trip to Japan. Guide Oh Seok-bong! Thank you for creating such wonderful memories for me.

Our tour guide, Lee Song-ran, speaks English, Chinese, and Japanese, so we were able to communicate very well. As this was our family's first trip to Osaka, we asked her many questions about restaurants and travel tips, and she provided detailed answers. Thanks to her, we had a comfortable and enjoyable trip. Guide Lee Song-ran is the best!
