I went to a rural area in Malaysia, and it worked just fine. I also really appreciated the fact that I could activate it easily via email or the app, without having to go to the trouble of printing out the QR code or transferring a photo of it to another medium.

Talk2all's Malaysian eSIM doesn't occupy a SIM card slot, allowing single-SIM users to easily choose between keeping their local number or using overseas networks. During my time in Malaysia, I could seamlessly access the internet using the eSIM and receive SMS verification codes from Malaysian banks, allowing me to seamlessly coordinate my business and travel plans. From trip planning to post-trip reflection, the convenience, stability, and flexibility of the Malaysian eSIM made it my most reliable "invisible partner" during my travels.

It was easy, I booked a sim card just before boarding the flight. I picked it up in KL main terminal. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The man ( he looks Chinese) also helped me with my broken charger. They checked my QR and installed a sim in my phone, it was already working. I didn't have any connection problems so far. The photo us the speed test from inside the mall ( not the best connection I guess).

I ordered two eSIM cards. One for me and one for my wife. For some reason, the connection didn't work in China, which was disappointing at first. Then it turned out I needed to enable roaming in the SIM card settings (iPhone 17). And I got a connection in the Philippines. The reception is pretty good, you can even make video calls.
