I felt that Ctrip did a very good job in all aspects. The accommodations, itinerary, tour guide, and driver were all good, although the food was a little lacking. I was extremely satisfied with our tour guide, Yuan Zhuan. He was enthusiastic, professional, and knowledgeable, leaving a deep impression on all the tourists in the group! He made the trip even more perfect!

Tour operator and driver were responsive. Even though i do not sprak chinese they communicated everything through wechat to make sure i understand the itinerary

It's a real bargain to be able to visit Sun Moon Mountain Scenic Area, Qinghai Lake, and Chaka Salt Lake from Xining city center all in one day. In my case, I was picked up from my hotel at 6 AM and arrived back at 11 PM. It was a 17-hour tour, so you need to be prepared. At each sightseeing spot, you get off at a set time, have free time, and then regroup, so if you're not confident in your Chinese, I recommend using a translation app to confirm everything with the driver/guide. We were able to communicate via WeChat the day before, so if you can communicate by chat, you'll be fine. There were seven participants in total: a Chinese family of three, two Chinese women, a German woman, and myself. I stayed in Xining for 3 nights and 4 days, but thanks to being able to conquer this vast scenic area in one day, I was able to enjoy sightseeing in the city at a leisurely pace for the remaining days.
