Reviews: Great Ocean Road Classic Sunset Day-Tour [English & Chinese speaking driver/guide & popular spots & air-conditioned bus] in Melbourne

Highly recommended excursion... a bit long, as the distances between the points of interest are quite far apart, but David Hsu did his best to make it enjoyable. He's a highly recommended guide; he has several surprises in store.
Reviews: [June Mercedes-Benz Mid-Levels Special Price] Melbourne Great Ocean Road Trail + Twelve Apostles Day Trip

The beauty of the Great Ocean Road lies in its vastness and openness, forcing you to temporarily leave behind the troubles of the world. To your left, the towering waves of the Southern Ocean crash against ancient cliffs; to your right, lush rainforest cascades down the mountain ridges. Driving along it feels like watching a nature documentary without narration. The most unforgettable sunset is at the Twelve Apostles. As the light bathes the limestone in golden light, and the waves roar beneath your feet, you truly understand the meaning of "the great beauty of nature is silent." On the return journey, kangaroos leap into the jungle at dusk, leaving a trail of rustling sounds. At that moment, you feel: life is worthwhile, and so is the journey.

Wonderful experience! We had a really great time. Our driver, Mr. Bob Wang, was excellent. He kept the bus spotless, drove very smoothly, and was extremely knowledgeable about the history and sightseeing along the route. He pointed out all the interesting places during the trip and shared fascinating information with us. Bob also took great care of everyone and made sure we were comfortable throughout the journey. I highly recommend Bob to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable trip. You’re sure to have a fantastic experience with him!
Reviews: Melbourne great ocean road + Twelve apostles 1-day tour (Loch ard gorge/Apollo bay)

The tour was worth the price but it’s very packed and tight in schedule. You could see lots of places but they’re all technically just snap-and-go.. even for the animal park, you only get around 40 minutes to interact. For those who’re booking though this platform, you’ll have to pay a $5-10 tips/pax to the guide and the driver, which was something we were not happy with. Another let down was the stop for late lunch at Apollo Bay Beach— the food at the fusion Chinese restaurant was really disappointing. Their portions were small and the foods served were honestly really bland. You could easily get cheaper and better food choices at the CBD with similar prices or maybe at the local bar. However, the tour was overall satisfying if you want to visit all the famous places for The Great Ocean Road on a great weather. The guide would explain a tad bit of the histories of the places as well.

I was hesitant when I booked this tour because there weren't many reviews, but the trip exceeded all expectations and I can highly recommend it. The forecast for the day was for heavy rain, so they contacted me the day before via WhatsApp to arrange a reschedule. In the morning, guide Steve picked me and the other guests (seven in total) up from our hotels in a minivan, and the journey began! Steve is an incredibly positive person; he managed to drive, explain the sights, joke, chat, and was generally a real joy to us. 😁 On the way to the first attraction, he stopped us for delicious coffee and local pastries. We had breakfast and then headed to the 12 Apostles. Thanks to the return route, there were really few people at each point, so no one interfered with our photo opportunities. Then everything was standard: lunch in Apollo Bay, then Steve took us to secret places in search of koalas, and when koalas were found, he growled like a koala so that they would wake up and show us their faces 😁 Return to Melbourne around 19:00.
