"This hotel, nestled in Nakajima Park, is truly perfect for families with kids. The area is so peaceful and safe. Right outside, there's a Lawson convenience store and an amazing BBQ restaurant (charcoal-grilled meat) – absolutely delicious! My child loved Nakajima Park so much, they didn't want to leave. It's ideal for a stroll with the little ones. If we weren't heading to Jozankei, I'd definitely want to stay here for a few more nights. The breakfast was also excellent, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered a beautiful view of the snowy park. After breakfast, a walk in the park was lovely, and there's even a popular cafe nearby. This is exactly what Hokkaido should feel like!"

"This hotel is very thoughtful. The views are beautiful, and they provide toothbrushes, combs, razors, and soap. The hot spring bath was very comfortable, and the shampoo and shower gel were quite good. Even if you decline housekeeping, they'll still leave fresh towels and toothbrushes outside your door, and they even give you a small, handmade soap made with Hokkaido ingredients. They have their own parking lot, and it only costs 2000 yen for an overnight stay."

"This was our second stay at Keio Plaza Hotel Sapporo, and as before, the rooms were clean and the overall atmosphere felt warm and welcoming.
One of the things we valued during our 2024 stay was the convenience of returning our rental car at the Toyota Rent a Car branch located right at the hotel, plus easy access to an airport shuttle. However, this time we noticed the airport shuttle schedule has been cut down to just 2 trips a day, which made planning around it a bit trickier.
If you're not renting a car, you might want to consider a hotel closer to Sapporo Station for better convenience.
Overall, still a comfortable and reliable hotel, just worth planning your transport around the updated shuttle times."

"Facilities: A bit old, as it's been around for over a decade, but still very refined and tidy, with a feel of a fading noble. The hotel has pretty complete amenities; the only downside is the lack of a laundry room. You have to walk a bit to find a paid laundromat outside (perhaps because they figure only winter visitors come to Hokkaido, and you barely need a shower in winter, right? (laughs)).
Hygiene: Very clean, fitting for a five-star hotel's positioning and price point.
Environment: Located next to Nakajima Park. From my room, I could see the vast white snow of Nakajima Park below. It's a bit far from the city center (around 800m), but very quiet at night. You can take the JR or walk to the city center, and the experience is still very good.
Service: Standard five-star hotel service; all expected services are well provided."

"It's quite a good hotel given that it's very close to the Sapporo Station and is a walkable distance to Susukino. However, the cleanliness was quite substandard... We found some curly hair in the bathtub after we checked in and there were some hair on the freshly given towels. We stayed there for 7 nights but some of the trash was not thrown away during some nights (even though we had our ”makeup the room” sign out).
The hotel has ice machine, on tap wine bar (you only get 1 cup per person, it's 300 yen after your first cup), coffee machine (no tea provided). The room is big enough to open 2 28” luggage."

"We re-booked the same hotel after coming back from 1 night in Lake Toya as this hotel is conveniently located with good service. This time round, we booked a corner room and it is bigger than the previous room we booked and at a lower price. There is also an airport limousine bus drop off point just outside the hotel and the pick up point is a 3 mins walk to ANA Crowne plaza hotel. The onsen facility is free for guests - the facility is well maintained and clean."

After working through New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, I finally got to relax at Daiichi-san after 10 years. The open-air bath by the river's gentle murmur was incredibly soothing, both for body and soul. The dinner was perfectly seasoned; I could eat it without getting bored, and the breakfast accompaniments and pickles were also delicious. The audio room, the coffee and soft-serve ice cream in the lounge, and the 24-hour coffee and tea service were all fantastic – there was so much to enjoy, I couldn't even try everything! It seems like there are more international staff now, but everyone spoke Japanese very well and handled irregular situations smoothly, making for a very comfortable stay. I even got to see a Blakiston's fish owl, and all the staff were wonderfully cheerful and charming.

I had a great time. I booked a room on the top floor.
Business hotels are cramped, so I stayed overnight with a friend.
There was a sauna, karaoke, and a large TV.
It was also well soundproofed, so I could drink and make a lot of noise. I had a great time.
