The hotel is very convenient to reach. You can take the Donan Bus directly from Noboribetsu JR Station to the hotel entrance, and it's just a few minutes' walk to the Onsen Street. At first, I was a bit worried that it might be old and run-down, but upon checking in, I found that the facilities are extremely well-maintained. It doesn't feel like a decades-old traditional hot spring hotel at all. Having a room with a private hot spring bath was amazing; we soaked in it whenever we had free time. Perhaps because it's not an internet-famous hot spring hotel, the public baths were completely empty when we went around 9:00 PM—we had both the men's and women's baths all to ourselves! Compared to the overcrowded 'dumplings in a soup' experience at popular hot spring hotels, this was a pleasant surprise. Both dinner and breakfast times were confirmed in advance upon check-in, and they even call to remind you when it's time to dine. Even the seating is arranged beforehand. Dinner is a multi-course Kaiseki meal served dish by dish. Each portion is small, but you definitely leave full. The taste was quite good, though nothing particularly standout or unforgettable. Breakfast is semi-buffet style: rice, side dishes, and tofu soup are served per person, and that tofu soup was delicious! The buffet area features fruit, salads, sashimi, bread, and more. The squid was tender, the sweet shrimp were large and of great quality, and the food was replenished very quickly. The breakfast was so good that we ended up having an all-you-can-eat seafood feast right there, completely skipping the seafood rice bowl we had originally planned for lunch!

Booked a two-night stay with a private onsen. The hot spring water quality was excellent. The food was good, typical of a hot spring resort's dining and lodging. The private bath was fantastic, perfect for a family of three. Make sure to book early, otherwise it gets too expensive.

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right at the entrance of Noboribetsu Onsen town, across from Daiichi Takimoto, and close to all the attractions like Jigokudani. We experienced the 'one night, two meals' plan. Dinner was an exquisite and substantial Kaiseki meal, and breakfast was a semi-buffet style. Both meals were delicious. The room was a traditional Japanese tatami room, clean and tidy. When we returned after dinner, our futons were already laid out (though we did notice some dust on the corners of a few cabinet doors). The most thoughtful touch was that all drinks in the room's mini-fridge were free. It was absolutely refreshing to enjoy a cold drink after a soak in the hot spring! Two small details to note: the hotel's check-out time is 10 AM (check-in is at 3 PM), which is relatively early. Also, after check-out, luggage can only be stored until 2 PM at the latest, which can be a bit restrictive for travel plans. Additionally, the hairdryers in the onsen area are quite old; it took about 40 minutes to dry long hair. I hope they can improve this aspect.

Excellent location, right next to the bus stop, and just a few minutes' walk to the hot spring town. The Japanese-style room was very spacious. The meals were meticulously prepared and delicious. The hot springs were also very comfortable, and guests can use the large public bath at the adjacent Miyabi-tei.

Excellent stay. The hotel is very peaceful and the staff is very professional. Food is stunning. If you have the budget don’t hesitate to book the room with private onsen!

Although it's an old-fashioned inn, isn't that part of the charm of staying in a hot spring town? The location is also very convenient. They offer a variety of yukata patterns and sizes for both adults and children. The meal was a kaiseki dinner. This was my first time at a hot spring hotel where the kaiseki portions were just right, not too overwhelming, and beautifully presented.

The traditional tatami room truly impressed us, but the highlight of our stay was the open-air private sulphur onsen in our room. It was incredibly therapeutic, and I absolutely loved the natural sulphur scent that filled the space—it made the experience feel authentic and deeply relaxing. A heartfelt shoutout to the staff for their exceptional hospitality. From the warm welcome upon arrival to assisting with our luggage and thoughtfully preparing our beds, every detail was handled with care. They were genuinely kind and attentive throughout our stay. Although the hotel is quite old, we appreciated it as part of its vintage charm. It feels like a place rich with history and stories, which adds a unique character you don’t often find in modern hotels. The 7-course kaiseki dinner completely blew us away. From the exquisite plating to the impeccable service, every dish reflected the chef’s dedication and craftsmanship. Even breakfast exceeded our expectations. While described as a buffet, the beautifully presented bento-style offerings along with the comforting soup-based dishes were both satisfying and delicious. Yes, the price is on the higher side, but it is absolutely worth every penny we spent.
