"Today, I arrived in Beijing just as a huge rainstorm hit, with dark clouds looming overhead. I made it to this four-star hotel near the airport, and as soon as I reached the entrance, I was greeted by smiling male and female bellhops. They quickly and enthusiastically assisted me with my luggage, instantly lifting the gloom that had been hanging over me. The warm lighting in the hotel lobby was especially comforting! Once I got to my room, I found it clean and comfortable, with a simple yet practical layout. Although the room wasn't large, it felt incredibly cozy and homey!"

Adjacent to the Forbidden City in Beijing, the hotel has a large terrace on the 8th floor that offers a panoramic view of the entire Forbidden City. The rooftop terrace of the hotel offers a panoramic view of the Forbidden City, overlooking the red walls and yellow tiles of the imperial capital city, and enjoying a serene and comfortable atmosphere hidden in the city. The hotel has convenient transportation, and can be reached on foot for flag raising, visiting the Forbidden City, and visiting the National Museum; The city's scenic spots, cultural landscape and Universal Studios subway line are accessible. The room is equipped with a variety of welcome minbar drinks for you to enjoy for free. The room is equipped with complete service facilities, including Bluetooth speakers for one key calling service, which can bring you a technological experience during your stay.

"The location was great, but our room had no direct light from sun, and no windows opening on outside at all, with an A/C that was not working at all. The room was hot and not air moving, a terrible feeling. On top of that, the room was located just below the roof top that was undergoing construction work, which means lot of noise from early morning. The room is very old, walls are stained, clearly not looking like the booking site pictures. The hotel needs a big refresh. Right now the entire exterior is under construction, I hope you plan to do the rooms soon. Overall, not acceptable not to be informed that there is big construction work done at the moment, and having a room with no external ventilation and AC working should not even be commercialized. A rip off for the price paid."

"Decided to try Manxin Mansion with a 'let's see' attitude, and it turned out to be a genuine Beijing courtyard hotel. My kids absolutely loved the Little Yellow Duck family suite, so we immediately extended our stay for another four nights at the front desk. The room was clean and odor-free, the best part being no smoke smell whatsoever. The staff were incredibly enthusiastic. They'd spot us from a distance and come over to help with our luggage. When we left, they personally saw us off at the station and even helped us mail our express package. I especially have to mention the hotel's memory foam pillows – they ensured I slept soundly every night until dawn. Loved them, loved them!"

Hotel near Jinsong and Panjiayuan Area,Beijing
The hotel is a designer type hotel, the design utilizes the concept of “modern bones, natural clothes, oriental soul” for the overall design planning. In the chaotic and impetuous times, through the understanding of life, believe that people belong to nature, superimposed on the Oriental culture teaches us the design principle of less is more, and ultimately through the hotel carrier to euphemize the expression of the return to a healthy, real, natural state of life. The hotel is located in the core area of the East Third Ring Road in Chaoyang District, adjacent to the China World Trade Center, with extremely convenient transportation, only a 10-minute walk from Jinsong subway station.

"AMAZING SERVICE!! Room cleaning is always spotless. After room cleaning, the room always has a very pleasant fresh and harmonious aroma. The hotel security seemed great with 24hr front desk, elevators that only allow you to go to the floor specific to your room key is allocated to and multiple locks on the room door. The location is right opposite an amazing fruit store with very cheap and tasty fruits and snacks. The hotel is around a 15 min walk from a really nice park too. There is a bus stop directly outside the hotel entrance, that can connect you to anywhere in Beijing. The inside of the hotel is very nicely decorated giving it a very premium feel. You will have to travel 30 to 60+ mins to get to the forbidden city, summer palace, hutongs etc. (via bus) but the bus fair is only 1 yuan with Alipay and the bus ride is really enjoyable, reliable and convenient. You can also rent a bike (blue ones are the best) as biking is best form of travel in Beijing!! The room toilet is very nice and so is the shower, feels very new and well built. The beds are super comfortable, the room is quiet, the bedding is so plush and comfy and the air conditioning is very silent. I recommend this hotel!! You also get lots of snacks and unlimited bottled water, the staff is very friendly."

Hotel near Tian'anmen Square and Wangfujing Area,Beijing
Peking Yard Boutique Hotel is located in the key protection area of the old Beijing Hutong. It is a century-old quadrangle building, which was originally the residence of a eunuch in the Qing Dynasty. It is close to Lama Temple, Nanluoguxiang, Duan Qirui Executive Government (Qing Dynasty) and other attractions in the north, and Dongdan and Wangfujing Street Market in the south. In addition to the strong commercial atmosphere, it is also surrounded by many former residences of celebrities, giving it a unique Hutong cultural atmosphere. The location is excellent and the transportation is convenient. It takes about 3 minutes to walk to the Line 5 subway station. The straight-line distance to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square is about 2 kilometers. Take the Line 5 subway to directly reach the National Stadium Bird's Nest, Water Cube, Temple of Heaven, and Summer Palace. It takes about 10 minutes to drive to Houhai Sanlitun Bar Street. Peking Yard Boutique Hotel is committed to creating a boutique homestay with Beijing Hutong characteristics, a "Wizard of Oz" hidden in the Hutong. All guest rooms use Bulgari mattresses, water purification devices, dry and wet separation in the guest rooms, all bright windows for lighting, and a panoramic view of the garden. There are also shared office coffee bars and garden terraces, allowing the exquisite space to soothe interesting souls.

"For my trip to Beijing, I specifically chose Beiping Courtyard and stayed in a tatami room. The overall experience exceeded my expectations and was incredibly heartwarming. The courtyard is tucked away in a hutong, offering a quiet escape from the bustling city, exuding the charm of old Beijing. I was lucky to visit in May when the roses were in bloom, which really enhanced the atmosphere. The room was clean and cozy, and the tatami provided a relaxing and comfortable stay. The facilities were complete, and the attention to detail was impressive. The staff were all very friendly and easygoing, providing thoughtful yet unobtrusive service, making me feel as comfortable as if I were staying at a friend's house. The food at the hotel was authentic and delicious, made with quality ingredients. The overall slow pace was very therapeutic, and I had a wonderfully comfortable stay. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in Beijing!"

Hotel near Yansha Commercial Area,Beijing
Hotel Invitation Wander through the city to find a room that melts away your fatigue. With warm service and cozy accommodations, we eagerly await your arrival — we are here, waiting just for you. Our hotel boasts high-quality services and complete supporting facilities, including a laundry room, gym, meeting rooms, and parking lot, all ready for your experience. The hotel’s design is personally crafted by General Manager Dequan, integrating technology with imagination, starry sky elements with the hotel’s style, and service with meticulous details. Let us add unique memories to your journey. Our hotel enjoys an excellent location, with convenient access to popular destinations such as Chaoyang Joy City, Chaoyang Park, Chaoyang High-speed Railway Station, Sanlitun, and Shilibao Subway Station.

"A decent base for exploring outside Beijing, with a few pros and cons There are two subway stations around Dequan Hotel, but both are more than a 10-minute walk away. Renting a bicycle is highly recommended as it makes commuting much easier. Since the hotel is located in the outer suburbs of Beijing, getting into the city center takes over an hour and requires transferring between 2–3 metro lines. Beijing is huge, and attractions are far apart, usually taking at least an hour to reach. If you stay here, it’s best to plan activities that are outside the main city center. We stayed in a two-story loft room. The layout separates the space into two zones: the bathroom, sink, and a small sofa are downstairs, while the bed is on the upper floor. This means you’ll have to climb down the stairs if you need the bathroom in the middle of the night. The window in our room overlooked nearby rooftops, offering a wide, unobstructed view. On the downside, there was a bad smell coming from the bathroom drain, and the fridge in the pantry didn't work at all, despite us checking both the plug and the switch. The breakfast had a mix of options. The freshly made dishes were mostly vegetables, which was great for health-conscious travelers. There was also a section for steamed and fried convenience foods. However, the bread was dry and tasteless. The salad and dressings were good, and they provided coffee, ice, filtered water, and a microwave. The hotel rents out part of a larger building, and right next door, you'll find restaurants and a supermarket. Don't forget to stop by and check them out!"

Hotel near Tian'anmen Square and Wangfujing Area,Beijing
Located at the foot of the Imperial City in Chaodongli, east of the Forbidden City, this three-year project seamlessly blends cultural hotels, art spaces, trendy dining, and lifestyle experiences. It's not just a prime spot for urban getaways, but also a must-visit MiniMall that's young, trendy, artistic, and full of diversity. "Chaodongli Cultural Hotel" materializes the concept of "great seclusion in the city while forgetting its surroundings," allowing you to immerse yourself in the urban environment yet feel a sense of naturalness. The minimalist wabi-sabi-inspired room design creates a tranquil and bright space with the philosophy of "Less is more," delivering an immediate sense of physical and mental comfort. Adopting the ancient Chinese aesthetic principles of "greatness has no corners, greatness is achieved late, great sound is silent, and great form has no shape" as the hotel's room zoning, it harmonizes with the four cardinal directions and subtly aligns with an ancient Chinese aesthetic concept, aiming to promote natural beauty rather than artificial one.

"This is the first time I've stayed at such a satisfying hotel in Beijing! It's super close to the subway station, just a quick turn after exiting Dongsi Station, Exit D. Right across from the hotel is Longfu Temple, offering a wide array of creative shops and restaurants. Right at the hotel community entrance is Yuanshan Korean Restaurant, which was a real treat. In the hotel lobby, you can even make your own traditional Beijing 'Tu'er Ye' (Rabbit God) rubbing. In the evening, I enjoyed a nightcap at the nearby Sanjiren Bar, a perfect way to unwind. The hotel facilities are also very comprehensive, with a separate wet and dry bathroom, a smart toilet, and convenient laundry and drying services. The room's overall design is rustic and simple, and the warm yellow lighting creates a very cozy atmosphere. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Beijing."

GGuest UserThis might not be the most expensive hotel I've ever stayed in, but it's definitely where I've slept the most comfortably. The hotel is very close to the bustling Nanluoguxiang and Yonghe Temple. The room was extremely clean and quiet, with a nostalgic style that made me feel grounded and peaceful. Being in the hutong, you really get a feel for the capital's alleyway life, and everyone was so nice! The service was absolutely top-notch; I forgot something when I checked out, and the front desk contacted me and mailed it back for free! I love it so much ❤️!

LLiaoaoaoaoaoaoOur stay at Gubei Zhiguang was absolutely amazing! Before we arrived, the hotel manager, Kangle, called us a day in advance to ask for our arrival time and provide directions. Since it was the off-season and not many tourists were around, she even upgraded our room for free to one with a direct view of the Great Wall from the window, which was incredibly thoughtful. While we were checking in, Kangle saw my friend and I waiting in the lobby and kindly helped us with our luggage. When we jokingly asked if we, as 'children,' could also get a gift, Kangle proactively offered us a Napoleon pastry. Our impression of her went up, up, up! Following Kangle's recommendation, we visited Simatai Great Wall in the evening, going up before sunset and coming down after dark. We witnessed an absolutely stunning sunset and night view – this trip was definitely worth it! The ancient town itself, with its small bridges and flowing water, sculling boats, hot springs, and enthusiastic staff, is a place worth revisiting. We're already looking forward to our next trip to experience the intangible cultural heritage crafts!

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, nestled in a hutong, very close to Zhangzizhong Road subway station – less than a 4-minute walk away. It's also near popular attractions like the Forbidden City and Jingshan Park. After visiting Jingshan Park, I encountered traffic restrictions, making taxis and buses inconvenient. I ended up cycling back to the hotel on a shared bike, which only took fifteen minutes. Cycling through the surrounding hutongs offers a unique charm. Although the hotel isn't new, it's clean, and the bedding is spotless. Crucially, facing the hutong means it's incredibly quiet, which is perfect for someone sensitive to noise like me. Plus, the hotel rooms have windows that can be opened for ventilation, which is a major plus. Many hotels in Beijing have sealed windows and rely on heating, making the air feel stuffy and stagnant. There are also many local eateries around the hotel, making it very convenient. All in all, it offers fantastic value for money.

MM56405****Absolutely fantastic! The two kids played in the room until midnight without any need for adult supervision. The moms just chatted and drank the whole time – it was so relaxing and enjoyable. The hotel is super close to the ancient town, only a five-minute walk. There are supermarkets downstairs and restaurants right outside the door, which is incredibly convenient. The owner is really nice and was quick to resolve any issues we had. Remember to bring some sausages when you go; there are lots of little cats downstairs waiting for you to feed them!

HHeliwenWe stayed at this hotel in Beijing for 6 nights, and it offers a fantastic view of Beijing's new landmarks: the China Zun and the 'Big Trousers' (CCTV Headquarters). Sitting by the window, sipping tea, and watching the landmarks change color from white to yellow, then pink, and then blue was incredibly relaxing! The best part is that the subway entrance (Lines 2 and 5) is right outside the hotel, making it incredibly convenient to get to almost every attraction. Super convenient!

MM0005****The rooms are clean and tidy, and come with a balcony. When checking in, you need to register your vehicle to park in the underground parking lot 🅿️, otherwise, you might be charged a parking fee. We had three king-size rooms, and 1119 had the best view, overlooking the lake from the balcony, with a beautiful sunrise in the morning. The room directly opposite could see the golf course behind, which was great for sunset views. The bathroom and bathtub are in separate spaces opposite each other, designed with two sinks for simultaneous use. The front desk is on the second floor, and the connecting corridor to the hot spring ♨️ is also on the same floor, though it's a bit of a walk. The buffet restaurant is on the first floor. Complimentary fruit was provided in the room.

BBabygemThe stay at Beijing WTown Hotel was completed the night prior to checking into Watertown Hotel, enabling a comparison of the two five-star hotels in Gubei. Unlike Beijing WTown Hotel, where the staff demonstrated a high level of professionalism, took the initiative, and provided extensive information about the town and activities, the check-in experience at Watertown Hotel was ordinary and did not resemble a 5-star kind of standard. The themed room at Watertown did not really resemble a theme room as shown on the booking page, aside from a pig figurine placed on the sofa. The view from the room on the third floor was mediocre, was told by another staff during check-in that most rooms in the hotel lack a view. However, the view from the swimming pool was great. The hotel is situated just outside the scenic area. An advantage of this location is that vehicles can drive directly to the hotel, offering convenient access.

LLanlandewuyanxiaDidn't want to leave Beijing during the Qingming Festival, so we chose Yanqi Lake for a little getaway. The highway was jammed, but the hotel was totally worth it. The service was excellent! We were traveling with our child and a camping wagon, and staff were constantly there to help us. A huge thank you to them! The resort grounds are beautiful, and sitting by the lake was very relaxing. The kids' play area definitely gets a thumbs up – as a dad, I'm giving it full marks. It really helped my little 'perpetual motion machine' burn off some energy, so everyone slept great at night.

TthousandmilesNot worth the price and disappointing - I booked this place after looking at the images on the website, they looked very convincing. So I booked it for me and my wife to spend a relaxing day looking at the peaceful mountains and forest. However those pictures were quite misleading. The hotel is a compound of lackluster buildings build to a mountain side right next to the road. The view is nothing like in the website photos but quite mediocre. The room was quite good and modern. Which was the only plus point. Also the smart toilet and bathroom with the bathtub was nice, but it was evident the hotel staff needs to learn more about housekeeping. It seems like they were penny pinching. The bedsheets had holes in them, no glasses to drink water, only two water bottles and only two packs of coffee. Very very disappointing for the price I paid for one night. Furthermore although it says 24 hours concierge service, after 9 pm they stop responding to messages on wechat. I asked in Chinese to send some water bottles and glasses but they didn't respond. Very unprofessional. The breakfast was also pretty basic. Not even fresh juice, just a typical Chinese breakfast you will find in any low budget hotel. The swimming pool was so so and dirty. Other amenities were for kids, so I can't comment on those. Overall the hotel is very mediocre and not worth the money they are charging per night. I won't recommend this place to anyone as there are better places around this area for lesser price.
