The Old Town Hall is an Italian Renaissance-style knighthood and is the most important Renaissance building in the city. It is located on the riverside of the Ice River, across the river from the Jesuit church. To accommodate the rainy weather in Switzerland, the building is equipped with a Swiss farm-style roof and a bell tower. On holidays, the city hall's corridor facing the river becomes a lively market.
