The noodles were chewy, and the aroma of Sichuan peppercorns was so intense that it made my lips dance! I recommend pairing it with eggnog to help with the spiciness and warm your stomach. There was also a Hu Ji Baozi nearby, but we gave up because the line was too long. 2️⃣ Zhixiang Wang's Cold Shrimp (Jiefang Road Branch) 📍Address: 8 Zhixiang Road ✨Must-Orders: Brown Sugar Cold Shrimp, Osmanthus Cold Shrimp After eating the spicy noodles, a bowl of cold shrimp is so satisfying! The broth is creamy white and delicious, and the fish is tender and smooth—a perfect way to beat the spiciness! 6️⃣ Yijian Beef Noodles (Xingfa Plaza Branch) ✨Specialty: Beef noodles bigger than your face, thick and tender beef, and a rich broth. 🏯 Ermalu Historical and Cultural District After a satisfying meal, I recommend a stroll along Ermalu! This area retains the charm of Yichang's old city, with its charming red-brick houses, making it a great spot for photos and photo opportunities. 🍽️ Useful Tips 1. I recommend breakfast at Fangma Noodle House, then walking to Ermalu for a quick meal. 2. Wang's Cold Shrimp has the most bouncy cold shrimp, Zhengxinji's cold shrimp is even softer and supposedly a long-established brand, and Peng's Osmanthus Cold Shrimp has a more fragrant osmanthus flavor. 3. Eat the radish dumplings while they're hot. 4. These restaurants typically have long lines, so avoid rush hour. You absolutely can't miss these local delicacies when visiting Yichang! The museum's most treasured items are also located on the 2nd floor. ✔ Ermalu Historical and Cultural District: 0r, Yichang Old Street. There are several art shops and Yichang landmark walls. Roasted rice noodles are a local specialty, very sticky and chewy. ⑤🍝Fang Ma Noodle House: A very famous local noodle house, but I personally find the food a bit salty and not amazing. 😂 - ❤️Travel Tips: ✔Zhenjiang Pavilion is a replica of an ancient building, and the Tianran Pagoda was built during the Qing Dynasty. You can see them by the river in a taxi, but I don't think it's necessary to go there specifically. ✔The riverside isn't particularly stunning at night, with many locals strolling and having fun.
