Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village | Pigpen Coffee House ☕ is truly beautiful 🏞️. Visiting the Miao village in Guizhou, I checked out the internet-famous Pigpen Coffee. The view from up high is truly different. The village and terraced fields, nestled among the mountains, are reflected in the water. The entire village is breathtaking. It had just rained when we arrived, and the brief blue sky. White clouds ☁️ drifted by, creating a fairytale-like beauty 🏞️. Enjoying a cup of coffee ☕ and the mountain breeze while admiring the scenery was truly relaxing. We even encountered a cute big dog, Gou 🦮. Each person orders a coffee ☕ and can take photos 📸 (you'll need to wait in line). The coffee is average. The ice cream 🍦 looks good too. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes❗️ It's a bit far. I hiked up the mountain with the intention of getting coffee ⛰️ It seems there's a closer route from the entrance to the scenic area - I'll look into it next time. The Cowshed Campground (with its popular swings) and Murakami Study 📚 are also nearby. The Pigpen Café in Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village is a renovated, artistic café housed in an abandoned pigpen, blending traditional Miao architecture with modern leisure culture. ☕The café retains the original structure of the pigpen while incorporating modern decor, creating a unique aesthetic contrast. However, be sure to plan your time wisely and arrive early, or you'll face lines that can take an hour or two. 🤦🏻‍♀️ 🏁Avoidance🕳️: 😅 I thought walking from the observation deck would be closer, but ended up taking a dead end. I took a sightseeing bus to the observation deck, then navigated to Pigpen Café, which instead led me to a fitness trail. The scenery along the way was indeed beautiful, but there were very few people, making the hike feel like an adventure. 🌳 Walking down the mountain, you'll see Qianhu Miao Village, nestled beside trees and farmland. It's eerily quiet. I walked over 3 kilometers by myself, and when I reached the end of the road, I called the owner of Pigpen Coffee. It was truly deserted. Navigation is completely useless, so avoid this trail! 📍 The owner said the correct route is from behind Fengyu Bridge No. 1, and there are signage along the way. For those wanting to go to Pigpen Coffee, navigate to it from Fengyu Bridge No. 1. After a few minutes' walk, you'll see a shop on your left. Start climbing up the mountain from the alley next to it. There are signage along the way (either Pigpen Coffee or Huakai Banxia). 📸 [Photo Spots] 1. Sit on the swing with the Miao village as your backdrop, and you'll feel like you're swinging into this dreamlike scenery. It's fun and photogenic. 2. The turquoise, curved stone staircase, with its unique texture and rustic hue, creates a retro photo opportunity. 3. There are many insects in the mountains, so the front desk thoughtfully provides floral water. Remember to use it to prevent insects from ruining your mood. 2. The wind is strong and the sun is bright at the top, so wear sunscreen to enjoy the sun, but don't get sunburned. 3. There are two super cute cats in the shop, so cat lovers shouldn't miss them! 4. The pigs are no longer here, they're over at the cowshed campsite~ My friends and I walked from the B&B to Pigpen Coffee. While the distance wasn't far, the steep path was a real test of our stamina. The descent was especially steep at night, and the two girls were a bit intimidated. However, the scenery along the way is breathtaking, with lush forests and scattered stilt houses, every step feels like stepping into a landscape painting. 🎈[Travel Tips] 🚗Transportation: We highly recommend staying in a homestay in the Miao village.
