Holiday Inn Express East Midlands Airport

Stayed here for one night before our flight £10 to park your car as a guest is simply shocking !! Check in was friendly but was told no evening meals available but could eat in other hotels if we contacted them to book a table , ( we are at the premier next door ) Upon returning to the hotel people were eating food !! 2 gin and tonics £26 is taking the mick ! Room is basic but comfy with all you need , Breakfast , prob one of the poorest breakfasts I think we’ve had , Had to wait for food to be put out as they had run out , by which time our other bits were cold so had to microwave ! Pretty poor experience
Bosworth Hall Hotel & Spa

We stayed for one night on 7/08 room 102 on Groupon. I struggle to understand the complaints about this place as this is our 4th time of staying and we cannot fault it. The hotel surroundings are absolutely beautiful. Each time the room has been exceptionally clean and well presented. Staff always helpful in every hotel area. Dinner is well acceptable for the price paid, no complaints, and we always enjoy the breakfast. Spa area clean and meets all needs and staff always friendly and welcoming. We will be returning again very soon and thank the manager and staff for all their hard work in maintaining this lovely hotel.

Nice and clean room that could do with some updating, Comfortable bed, can't say the same for the sofa bed even sitting on it was uncomfortable after a few minutes. Would have had a great night's sleep except for the guests opposite us who argued, talked extremely loud and slammed doors all night even after numerous complaints to the night manager. Spa facilities are good but very busy with lots of children staying in the hotel that weekend, much quieter on weekdays Nice breakfast with a good variety of of hot and cold foods Lovely staff especially Donna, who has the patience of a saint and kept calm when the computer system crashed at the peak of check in with the already irritated queue growing longer, and after being spoken to very rudely by a guest, she gets 5 stars from me

Ramada Encore by Wyndham Leicester City Centre

Leicester City Center
As a hotel owner I’m always very sceptical when staying elsewhere. The Ramada Encore was spotless, something which is usually a major concern for me. The bed was comfortable, the shower was lovely with great water pressure. Check-in and check-out were seamless, staff were very friendly and accommodating regarding my late check-in and request for a later check-out. Breakfast options were great for the average person, but as someone that eats low carb I was limited, but knew this when I paid for it, plenty of food available at the buffet though. There was a little noise from drunk people passing by on the street but it was a Friday night so not the hotel’s fault and didn’t last very long. No noise whatsoever indoors. Overall, very pleased with my stay, great value for money.
Novotel Leicester

It is a pretty standard Novotel. It was clean and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is good and fairly central. It was just over £200 for a Saturday night which was dear for a hotel of this standard but I do appreciate the economics of supply and demand. Overall would use again if in Leicester

Arrived on Monday and the staff were amazing. Really happy and informative . The two gentlemen on the counter smiled the whole time we were there and made us feel extremely welcome. Our rooms were changed to be downstairs as we had our dog with us. They couldn't have been better. The rooms were very clean and welcoming. Small and cosy, but it's what we expected. Evening meal (curry) was really nice and well worth the money Woke up the Tuesday morning and everything changed. The breakfast staff didn't talk to us or smile once. The lady just pointed at the food when I asked what was included in our breakfast. We went for food in the evening and the staff were really rude and charged us the wrong price for our food and drinks. No apology for offered. There was a twenty minute wait from our first to fourth meal. Once again no apology. I asked twice for the naan bread for the curry and was finally told that there were none left. This was not explained when we ordered. She said we could have white bread if we wanted. The food was left on the counter one at a time, unlike the first night when it was all brought together to our table. In conclusion, the facilities were clean and easy to access, the beds for small but comfortable. Very nice shower. The staff on the first night deserve a pay rise, unlike the second who need to be retrained in their job roles
Leicester Marriott Hotel

Dear Marriott Hotel Leicester, Thursday evening (18/08/22), I went to the Marriott Bar for a drink with a friend, between the hours of 8:15pm to 11:15pm, the ambiance was lovely as per usual, customer service was spot on and overall I was having an pleasant evening. Nonetheless with a consumption of a few drinks, my bladder was due to burst and I made a trip to the ladies. Whilst I was washing my hands, I heard someone in the cubicle flush the toilet, she came out and walked straight out the door! Yes that’s correct she didn’t WASH HER HANDS. This wasn’t just any women, it was an employee of the Marriott Hotel! I saw her walk to the Market Street bar/restaurant which is part of the hotel and she had continued to work! Marriott, do you not teach your staff members the very basics of hygiene and the importance around this??? It was rather disgusting and concerning to witness, especially to have seen this female work in the bar/restaurant area? Description of female: long black tied up hair, 5’4 approx and of a large build to put it in a polite manner! I’m just glad I didn’t vomit with such disgust!!! Yours truly :-)

Check inn and Reception Staff excellent very informative and found us a room that was ready as we were a couple of hours early. As per a previous review we decided on a early drink as we had a table booked in the restaurant at 6pm. Ordered a G&T and I ordered a pint of Boddingtons Bitter. This is where it all goes wrong young. Felt for the young girl behind the bar she was clearly out of her depth. We had to ask for Lemon and there was no ice. Bit of a theme here judging by earlier reviews. After pulling the second pint I gave up it looked awful. The restaurant menu was the same as the Bar. We managed to stay in the restaurant for 5 mins there were four or five tables all from the same group of young males all shouting and swearing. My wife is no shrinking violet but she stood up and said “ I think we will leave the children in the playground “ We returned to the bar area and by this time more staff members had come on duty. We were in Holiday mode so we made the best of it. Special praise should go to Corrina I think she was from Rumania. She got a grip of the situation and staff and we managed to get a meal and drinks ‘ As I said look after Corrina she was the only member of staff who had any organisational skills that evening.

Functional and spotlessly clean, this exceeded my expectations. I just wanted a bed for the night while visiting friends, but this would be an ideal place to stay if you were on a work visit. I didn’t use the kitchen or laundry room, but I can see these would be very useful if you were staying for an extended period. The iron and ironing board in the room was a useful addition. It was hard to cool the room with only one opening window, but it was one of the hottest days of the year when I visited. There are only three parking spaces, but plenty of parking available on nearby roads. Having the co-op just down the stairs would be very useful if you were staying for any length of time. Very impressed and I would definitely stay here again.
